Radon is dangerous to your health.

The radon tester showed the levels in my basement to be above the safe limit. 7.2 to 9.7. It gets higher when it rains. Upstairs the tester shows safe limits. The machine shows radon level, temperature and humidity. It works very well and alerts you to unsafe levels. It also connects to you phone (I phone in my case) and displays the readings. If you’re not sure about radon levels this device will answer any questions you may have concerns about.

Exceptional Customer Service

I purchased this device about 18 months ago. It has worked very well and provides temp., humidity, radon, air quality information. This was very helpful during a large addition to our house. The information is accessible on the easy to use app. and stores trending data. The unit is inconspicuous and easily movable to monitor different areas of the house. This provided insight on radon levels if different areas. Surprisingly the basement did not show the highest levels. Radon levels fluctuate quite a bit depending on location, tepm., and the amount of ventilation present. This was very eye opening and useful.Recently I noticed that part of the LED display was degraded. This is not a bit deal since the app is the best way to access the information. I contacted Airthings via chat on their website and got an immediate response. They asked me to upload pictures, and by the next day offered to replace the unit. This was customer service I've not seen from any company in a very long time. The company offers to extend the warranty to 5 years on their website if you register your purchase. I had not done this so technically I was out of warranty. They went the extra mile and replaced the unit for a defect that did not affect the overall function. Again this was top notch service.I would highly recommend Airthings products and the company based on my experience.

Great product for peace of mind

I love this Radon monitor. It is easy to set up and the app is user friendly. Love the convenience of checking Radon levels anywhere at anytime through the app. I like that you can power it by batteries or power cord. I have been using it for over 30 days using battery power and it’s still going strong. Provides peace of mind that my family is safe in our home. Highly recommend.

BUYER BEWARE - I suggest looking somewhere else.

I live in a radon-prone area and have been using Airthings products for several years, beginning with Corentium monitors in 2018. In Jan '22 I decided to upgrade to Airthings Wave monitors and their "Hub" for the convenience of remote monitoring using their PC and smartphone apps. Over the course of the past several months, two (out of six) of the Wave monitors gave up the ghost (out of warranty of course) so I decided to replace them with the newer View monitors. These monitors do not connect through a Hub, connecting instead directly to Wi-Fi and to your phone via Bluetooth. The first View connected easily and began syncing with their smartphone and PC apps without any issues. However, the second View refused to connect so I assumed it was a faulty unit. Amazon quickly replaced it (thank you) but the replacement unit has the same issue so, obviously, something else is going on.I reviewed all of the FAQs on the Airthings website, hoping there would be some simple solution to my issue. Not finding any answers on their website, I had no option but to look to Airthings Customer Service for help, which is when things rapidly went downhill. For starters, I could not find a phone number or email address, only a "chat" window with the following disclaimer:"We aim to respond to all queries within 24-48 hours during our working hours Mon-Fri. If somebody is not available to chat live, you'll get responses here and by email 🙂 ADDITIONALLY - 📦 Due to increased seasonal demand, please expect longer shipping times. We're working hard to fulfill orders as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding!"Seriously?? A "chat" support tool with 24–48-hour response time? You might as well be "chatting" from the outer reaches of our solar system. Completely useless in my opinion. Needless to say, I have not yet received anything in the way of support from their customer support tool. To be honest, I am generally skeptical of customer support for technical products anyway, as it often seems to rely on untrained "techs" reading from a script that forces you to walk through a series of steps you have already tried. While your experience may be different from mine, if you look through the reviews on Airthings products, you will see many comments regarding their lack of customer support. Based on my experience to date, if you need help with an Airthings product you are basically on your own. Bottom line, the View monitor is going back to Amazon, the Wave monitors are going in the garbage, and I am going to look to other radon monitor providers for a more reliable solution.

Easy to set up, a bit complicated to get full measurements

Since I am spending more time in my basement, I decided I wanted to know more about the radon level there. Several years ago, when the house was rented, a one month radon test was done that indicated above standards radon level, so a radon mitigation system was put in. Lately I have been spending more time in the basement, so I decided I wanted more info on the radon levels. There are less expensive radon monitors, but because of the reputation and history of this company, it is the one I chose. Setup is simple, though you don't get immediate readings for radon (though you do for temperature and humidity. You have to wait 3 days to get radon values. When they started showing up on the monitor, the levels increased over the next few days, but were in the safe range. Since I have a science background, I also wanted to see the detailed maeasurements. Airthings has both an app and a web site (called the Airthings Dashboard). Both are needed to get all the information from the meter. The app gives 1, 7 and 30 day average values, the Dashboard gives graphs over various periods. Since I don't have any other monitors to compare with I can't say how this compares in accuracy or ease of use to other systems, but this seems to be working well and indicates my radon mitigation system is working.
