I've been fighting a phorid fly infestation for months. I live in a rental house and the renter before me must have kept a filthy house. The management company did not clean it well. It had flooded which I wasn't told about and also had some kind of animal living in the attic. I have cancer and am immunosuppressed,so phorid flies also called corpse flies are extremely dangerous for me. After my last surgery, thr house had a phorid fly infestation that came out nowhere, and I mean there were a few and then all of a sudden there were 10s of thousands, no exaggerating. Not just the kitchen, the entire house. I also have a heary condition which causes me to breathe out more CO2 than normal so thru were more attracted to me literally flying at my face, trying to get in my mouth, crawling on me, trying to fly in my nose. It got so bad that i had to eat meals and sleep under a mosquito net and tape every drink so they couldn'tgo down the straw or any tiny opening. Every thing we tried would reduce numbers for a bit but then 10s of thousands were right back again. We treated drains. We cleaned out the litter boxes several times a day. We had 15 Zevo light traps which caught so many we had to replace the sticky trap parts daily. We tried everything we could find online. Everything was the same, a temporary reduction but then right back to numbers as though we had done nothing. And they terrorized me. Literally it was so bad I would sit under a mosquito net and cry. I kept getting skin infections. We spent almost $1000. At about the 8 month mark of this, figuring we would have to move, I was looking on Amazon for something we hadn't tried and came across these IGR cartridges. Received them. Put them in every room according to directions and also used a can of the same manufacturer's Gentrol Complete. In a little more than a week's time, 80% were dead. We decided to put a couple extra in the heaviest infested rooms which the instructions said could be done. Another week or so, we were phorid fly free. How I wish we had found and tried these months ago!!! I would given them 10 stars if I could. I like them, well OBVIOUSLY BECAUSE THEY WORK, but also because they were easy. They are self contained. We could put them where the dogs and cats couldn't chew on them which made me feel better. They didn't have an odor which was great because strong or bad odors made the cancer nausea much worse. They work on many different kinds of insects. Get them. You will not regret it!

My place would be crawling with roaches without this. I highly recommend it. I clean constantly, but that is not enough to keep roaches away, perhaps especially in a 4-plex. These, used in combination with roach gel (I use InVict as recommended by many other buyers), will eliminate roaches within a short period of time. You must be sure to replace The Gentrol and the InVict every three months. I recently let it slide two weeks beyond the three months and a few roaches made their way in. As soon as I replaced the Gentrol discs and re-applied the InVict the roaches were gone. This is a great non-toxic roach solution that works like a charm.

It's been three weeks since I started using it. I still see German roaches laying eggs. O killed a huge one with a big sac of eggs today. So looks like it will take a long long time for it to take effect completely.1. Clean clean clean as if your life depended on it.2. Remove left over food immediately3. I used Invicta gel along with GentrolThere is a bit of difference but I called pest control guys in the end. It was that bad.

Had a pretty serious cockroach infestation that was going bad to worse. However, I found a couple products on Amazon that, when paired together, totally eliminated them. I used the advion cockroach gel bait.. within a day I noticed many were dying or wandering around on their death knell. However, to break the life cycle you have to put a patch of this gentrol around the area of the infestation, which will reduce the ability of any remaining juveniles to reproduce. It worked perfectly--just put out one or two of these patches, and once the roaches died off from the gel bait, they never came back after that. The problem was solved within about a week after battling the roaches for over a month.
