I was so excited to get this because I've really been working to improve my eating and increase my vegetable intake.This slicer is a perfect example of great concept, bad implementation. I'll explain.First off, the instructions are not worth much at all. It's not terribly difficult to figure out, but it would be really nice to know what the switches do.The latches, both the front chute and the folding lock, are poor. When you attach the front chute, you must push the latch down to secure it. It's spring loaded, but not well. My first time using it I didn't notice that the latch hadn't caught all the way, and as soon as I put a tomato into the chute and went to push it down, the whole assembly popped off and the tomato made a nice splat on the floor. When you fold the slicer up and latch it up top, you can barely tap it and it springs back out.The blade is sharp, but not impressively so. It made rough cuts on a tomato. It slices, but not well.The little switches on the back do something with the vertical blades, but the vague "360" text on them doesn't mean much of anything.The final thing that bothered me was the little container that comes with it sits over the crossmember on the back brace to hold it in place. I thought that was a great feature until 3 slices out of 8 on a tomato fell between the slicer and the container.Overall, for significantly less money you can get a standard slicer that works just as well (if not better) than this. This is a great concept that was implemented poorly.I would not recommend.

Really, No stars. A disaster from day one. It never locked properly, always a struggle. The instructions must have been "lost in translation". Unfortunately too late to get my money back.

Be careful using this chopper. I cut my finger and it went through my finger nail the 1st day I got it . Will NOT ever use again!!!

But If you're proficient with a knife it's not worth the time it takes for disassembly and cleaning all the nooks and crannies for just a few.Something I didn't pay close enough attention to in the listing photos, is the slicing blade is not removable it is riveted on. This means I can't sharpen or replace it when needed, And I found the blade had a lot of burrs not removed from the sharpening process at the manufacturer.Hence it takes a bit more pressure when slicing through harder vegetables and does a rougher cut.I also found the heads of the rivets are not flush with the blade and stick up far enough to bruise or somewhat engrave a vegetable when slicing.In general I like the design. It's very safe as it's almost impossible to get your hand near the blade while in use, unless you don't use pusher cup in the hopper.I like how I can easily adjust the vertical slicers to cut french fries in one pass, I can adjust the other vertical slicers to julienne.The hopper is fairly large and can fit a medium sized onion or potato. With some larger vegetables you may need to trim the sides off to get it to fit.It's suction cup feet, keep it planted in place on a smooth clean surface/countertop.The large catch bin straddles over the kickstand so it won't move around.So far all my gripes are really just about the blade and how it's affixed.Hopefully my origin and photo reviews are helpful, thank you!

Great mandolin! Works great. Love the color and how it works

The tolerance on this slicer needs to be refined. I could not get the chute to stay on and I realized that the plastic lip is too thick. I sanded it down a few millimeters with some 80 grit sandpaper until it fit. I don’t think that a new product should require the user to fix the parts to get it to work so I deducted 2 stars. Also there are practically no instructions on how to use this device. You need to use trial and error and I am not sure I grasped all the features.Once I got the chute to fit I was able to slice a carrot, an apple, and an onion. I was happy with the uniformity of size on the slices. I could not figure out how to crinkle cut the carrots or apples and I am not sure that the slicer does either because of the lack of instructions. The shredder/strip slicing function is hard to use as the pieces tend to get caught behind the blade. It was fairly easy to clean and does include a small cleaning brush to safely clean the blades.Overall this device needs some manufacturing refinements to get the pieces to fit properly and more detailed instructions on how to use the various slicing functions.
