Easy to install, great little printer for home and gaming!
Works perfectly for what we need it for. My husband is a gamer and prints out his character sheets and stats. Easy to install and nice print quality. Great value for the money.

Printer keeps turning off for no reason
When working, the printer works well. However, it was took a long time, was difficult to setup wireless connection. After it had been working for several hours, it all of a sudden quit for no known reason. This may have been due to the arrangement that HP has to monitor ink/page replacement in order to provide the free ink for 3 months. If so, getting free ink is not worth it. I finally got printer working. But not having a real person to talk to did not help. After two weeks, printer is still a huge problem. Prints OK when it prints. But turns itself off for no reason. Have to call HP, unplug, let sit for a while, then replug. A real nuisance. And it happens at the worst times, when I most need to print or scan. To make matters worse, then I have to re-set the password for the wireless system. The screen for doing this is extremely small, so that it is almost impossible to key in the password because the letters are so small. I had to do it about six times before the password worked.

Easiest setup.
This was the easiest printer to setup. I have apple products and hp is integrated so fully with my devices they connected to my device when I download the hp app. Ink is a little pricey unless you use their automatic ink. Great print results.

Good Home Printer
High quality ink jet printers for low-volume home use were hard to find; this printer (HP Envy 6155) replaced an HP 7155 Photo Envy which I used for years, and which is no longer available. The 6155 has only one paper tray, and loading 5x7 photo paper was tricky the first time as guidelines for 5" x 5" paper is indicated, but not 5" x 7." Print quality was good and should improve with use. Speed of printing should improve also according to a message on the printer screen. I have printed only a few tax return documents and two photos so far so cannot comment on hardware reliability for this model, but chose HP since the last printer lasted for years without problems. The biggest problem I had was getting the HP Smart software to work with both my MacAir computer (documents) and my iPhone 12 Pro (photos)... although this is a wireless printer, I found the printer needed to be next to the device sending the print job! If you open the paper tray, you must answer questions on the printer screen... what size paper? What type paper? Size and quality of paper are not picked up automatically, so if you miss this step, you will get an error message (incompatible paper? or similar) The Photo Envy recognized size and quality automatically. Intermittently you need to answer questions on the printer screen, making this printer inconvenient for printing from around the house. You have to watch the HP Smart app also to answer questions there; this may get better over time, but I was sometimes confused during printing to see what instructions were needed and on which screen! I was spoiled by the automatic features of the Photo Envy; but in the end, the print quality was excellent and I decided to keep it... For $99 it came closest to my needs (I do not want/need multiple copies so no document feeder, I like a flat-top printer, etc); I expect the printer and software will have me trained soon...One last warning: one reviewer said he chose not to use the included ink cartridges since they trigger the auto fill program; I ordered extra HP cartridges and used them during start up, but not for long! The printer simply will not work during setup without the startup cartridges. However, I was able to decline the auto refill program since I print so infrequently... and I have always used new HP cartridges so that is not a change for me.

GREAT BUY AND FULL OF FEATURES
THIS IS A STELLAR PRINTER AND AN INCREDIBLE VALUE WITH ALL THESE FEATURES. I GOT RID OF MY OLD LASER PRINTER THAT WAS A HASSLE TO CONNECT WITH THE ROUTER AND HAD TO HAVE A CABLE AND A COMPUTER. THOSE DAYS ARE GONE! THIS CAME WITH FREE INK THAT SHIPS AUTOMATICALLY WHEN NEEDED. I HAVE TROUBLE COMING UP WITH EXCUSES TO USE IT BECAUSE IT WORKS SO WELL, AND THE PRINTING CAPABILITIES ARE AMAZING!

VERY FRUSTERATING - Always drops the WIFI connection & requires password entry FREQUENTLY!
I should have listened to the reviews. This HP printer constantly disconnects from my Wi-Fi despite no interruption in our service. Then, it makes me re-enter my Wi-Fi password on the tiny keypad. Shouldn't it remember my password like all other devices in my home? I re-enter the Wi-Fi password almost every time I need to use it.My old HP Envy printer, which I had for years, never had this issue. I'm very frustrated. I saw this exact problem mentioned in a review & I should have paid closer attention. The print quality is good enough. It's pretty slow, which is something I can live with. However, since it always drops my network and is never ready to print when I need it, it results in a 1-star review and makes me 100% regret this purchase.

Incredibly easy to use
Very quick setup, FANTASTIC color coming outta here, I've never owned a printer so my bar is pretty low but this thing blew me away, we print stickers and flyers and documents and all kinds of things and it nails everything. I send a picture from my phone and it comes out just as vibrant as I would want it to. Highly recommend if you need a budget printer
