great buy
I was happy these were available other wise my windows would have no locks. I had to cut them but no big deal. And easy to install.

Prefect replacement part for your old broken window latch
This only came in white and my older Better Bilt windows are a tan color. Since the spring loaded latch was the only thing broken I just kept my original latch housing and replaced the broken latch with the new white one. Once installed on the window using your original housing you don't notice the color variation.

Had to shave a couple millimeters of material off of the stem (using a razor blade) to get it to fit in a 10+ year old brand-less vinyl window but otherwise matched the original hole pattern and they perform flawlessly.

I'm sure that this is a quality item. Unfortunately they were not exactly the right fit that I needed. Amazon was immediately responsive with a refund on it.

Poor quality control- latches were both for right side only
I saw another review complaining about their package only containing two of the same sided pieces yet the package clearly states it has both left and right. Figured it was a one off and went for it as the measurements matched my nearly 30 y/o window latches.Well, shame on me because my package also says only included two pieces for the right side. Good thing I only need a right sided latch, got really lucky, but disappointed that I don't have both sides to replace both that match. Ended up swapping one from a garage window so the interior ones match.So, word of warning, if you need both sides you may want a different company as this one has awful quality control.

Both right handed
I bought 2 packages of these latches to repair 2 separate windows in my house. The product description says "one pair" so I assumed that there is a right and a left side latch, boy was I wrong. Both latches are right side, so instead of having two left and two right latches, I have 4 right latches. On the top right corner of the package shows a left and right latch, the back of the package shows a left and a right latch, But on the right center of the package circled it says in small letters "right hand" and has the right one circled. Label your products better, be more clear on what is in the package.
