For starters, both the cable and the spring began to rust from the first use…. Then the lock mechanism, a cheap plastic POS, broke and I had to tape it so at least I could use at 180 degrees angle. Finally a week later the wire snapped. All that in 3 weeks. Don’t waste your money.

Mmm. It’s not that great for aquariums.
The description said that you could use it for aquarium placement of plants. Nope. The mechanism is very clumsy. It’s ok at grasping something like a rock, but definitely not good at small stuff.I’m keeping it for reaching things around the house, but not much for aquatic projects.

Mistaken
I thought this item would help with planting and reorganizing my tank plants and decor. But it is more for grabbing and picking up, not planting. It is a good grabbing tool though.
