Buy it, you won’t regret it!
This camera has been up and running for exactly 302 days, according to the app. I never have once had to pull it down to charge it. Where I have it mounted, it receives around 7+ hours of *direct* sunlight a day, and is mounted in an optimal spot on my garage in the backyard. There are periods where we have rain for weeks at a time, with hardly any sunlight at all. This thing hasn’t skipped a beat. Camera overlooks the only entrance into the backyard, and covers the left side of my driveway quite well. Camera quality is clear as ever, especially at night. As the storage fills up, it deletes old automatically so you don’t have to fool with it. I definitely will be buying another one.

Great outdoor security camera
This eufy outdoor solar camera is fantastic. Good coverage area, nice video quality, night vision is average, and syncs well with the home base. Eufy app is easy to use. If the camera is in an area with enough sunlight, the solar panel keeps it working all year long. I probably to take it down to charge via USB cable once or twice a year in Dec/Jan when there is less sunlight. Highly recommended.

Good Camera but annoying and unnecessary battery fully charged alerts
Good quality camera with high resolution. The only problem with Eufy solar cameras is you get the annoying "Battery Fully Charged" alert several times a day. Couldn't figure out how to turn off the notification and contacted Eufy. Was told that the battery fully charged alert can not be turned off.I replaced all my Eufy cameras with Ring. No more annoying battery fully charged alerts.

Camera is good, solar panel is fair, app is hot garbage
Really the overall experience is only a 3.5 but not having to pay a monthly fee helps a bit and 2 cameras ready to go with no other purchase for $119 seemed like a steal. It's the awful app interaction with the cameras after setup that drags this. The connection setup to your account is great, could not be easier. Installation is likewise very simple, 2 screws and spin the unit on the mount and aim it.Charging. Unless you have direct ,and I do mean *direct*, sunlight, all day, you will be charging these but how often will vary. Seems like they should be able to go at least a month without charging in the shade so that's not horrible, if you have a shaded one you treat it as a regular battery camera. Plenty of modern solar panels can get some juice from ambient daylight so that seems like a miss considering how little power these need.Quality is just ok, 2k isn't really 2k if it's full of chunky compression artifacts. 15 FPS is barely adequate, I'd rather a clear lower def recording without artifacts at a higher frame rate any day. Cam makers are just in a bullet point war here, crystal clear 720p at 30fps is more than adequate to read things or identify a person while blurry, choppy, 15fps 4k is useless. But at $119 for 2 I'm fairly happy with the quality...once I download it so I can actually see something. The app is horrible. It downloads and signs up fine, it adds cameras quite easily too...but that is something you will do once or maybe a couple times if you add devices to the system. Setting up detection zones is also fairly easy, it often doesn't register where your finger is touching though and moves the whole field instead of moving a point. Getting it to connect to the cameras to update events takes a long time and is hit or miss, sometimes you'll get an alert of a recording but then get to the event screen and there is nothing there even after refreshing. Viewing videos is painful, touching the tiny icons to view full screen, play, pause or move the time slider is really hard to get right. Make these controls *MUCH* larger, they disappear after a second anyway so make it big enough to actually hit with a finger. I've just defaulted to downloading any event and then emailing it to my desktop computer because that inconvenience is faster and less awkward than trying to view on the phone when streamed from the camera. FWIW one camera is 10feet and one wall from my wifi station the other is literally 2.5 feet away, they show maximum signal always.Value - 5Picture quality - 3.5, clear 1080p 30fps would be way better than artifacty 2k 15fpsInstallation/setup - 5App- 13.6 average

Great camera
They work excellent. It is easy to set up and it stores the recordings on the device so you don’t have to get the square unit to save the recordings unless you want to there is a option for that when setting it up. It has night vision. It does record for about 2 minutes but you can set it shorter so the battery last longer. Mine get sun for about 4 hours a day and it keeps it charged at 100 percent. Easy to connect to wifi. Mine is about 200 feet from my wifi and on the other side of a brick wall and i do not have problems but i do have a good wifi system. Every once in a wile it might take about 5-10 seconds to connect but otherwise its great. It can pick up people talking about 50 ft away and it sounds like you’re right beside them.
