My first mod
The media could not be loaded. I just recently got a ps5 and I really enjoy playing FPS games which require me to have the back paddles. I have never done a controller mod before. I previously was using a strike pack for my ps4 so I was nervous ordering this.I must say that it was super easy and they work great! The instructions were very straight forward and there are videos to help.I highly recommend this product if you are looking to add back paddles on your ps5

FRAGILE PADDLES
This is an edit from my original 5 star reviewI loved them at first because it’s got all the bells and whistles. A nice clicky feel, 4 paddles, and turbo functionality.Less than a year of usage and one of the paddles cracked and would no longer click. I ordered a replacement paddle for $15 and after 1 months it’s ALREADY CRACKED.I’ve taken a closer look and you can clearly see that the design is just atrocious! They put notches in the paddles so that way it has room for the board mounting screws. These notches are so large that it leaves just a sliver of material in a spot that’s constantly under load from pressing the paddle. I’m almost offended, not just for poor design, but also for the lack of effort to address this issue.Tomsin, you’ve got two simple fixes…1. Redesign the housing so the paddles do notch require a notch.2. Make the paddles out of metal. This is kid stuff… we are not free beta testers for your lazily designed product!!!

massive game changer
I’ve never owned paddles or a pro controller, and didn’t really want to spend a ton of money on a new controller when I already own 2 original ps5 controllers from launch. While searching for solutions I found this option at a fraction of the price of a pro controller. Considering I am decently savvy with electronics I thought I’d give it a shot. It’s definitely not a mod for everyone but if you’re up for it and have read the instructions (there’s a video too) I think you should be ok to install these yourself. Soldering is optional but you won’t need it if you don’t want to map l3/r3.When I first started playing Elden Ring on ps5 I noticed controls were a little awkward if I wanted to turn the camera view while I jump, run or roll. For that reason, I bought this set. I’m glad I went with the 4 paddles as I rarely ever need to take my thumbs off the thumb sticks now. I rarely felt bothered enough by this to think much of it before buying this but now that I own one it’s a complete game changer. I mapped 3 buttons to x, o, triangle, and the last I mapped to mount my horse (multiple buttons). You can map multiple buttons to one paddle which that’s probably rarely used by some if they’re even aware, but I found super convenient for specific actions. The other day my controller died after a long gameplay session, so I tried using my non-paddle controller and it felt awkward to go back to, to the point I quit my gaming session early. I don’t like using the controller while charging, otherwise easy fix. This was my deciding factor for writing my review. I haven’t noticed any affect to battery life, and doubt there is any.A con to note that bummed me out is the back paddles are installed in a way that it no longer fits on the original ps5 charging station. My solution to this was a magnetic charging cable, which is not as nice as the dock I’ve become accustomed to. It might still work with aftermarket docks though. In short, I don’t have experience with other paddles or pro controllers but these paddles have been a huge improvement over stock so far. I’ve played Elden ring for about 100 hours, and about a 30 minute session of overcooked, so far it’s held up great.

LOVE IT, buuuut
Works amazing, but the top paddles are poorly reinforced and my P1 already cracked and is inoperable, I'm in the process of applying superglue to it seeing if that can act as a temporary fix. Hopefully, I can get the company to send a replacement paddle (just that part), or a few backups!

Works flawlessly, paddles can break but product support is stellar, they will send a new set
Works great as advertised, instruction videos for installation are spot on. Have had issues intermittently with programming but I believe that's because I have stick drift, if programming doesn't work may have to hold the program button and the desired buttons when turning off programming mode, otherwise I believe the stick drift will always overwrite the programmed button.Paddle snapped after a few months of medium use, probably happened during an intense Elden Ring boss so maybe to be expected with the thinness of the paddles. Would give lower rating there if not for the super responsive (within the day) customer service and pretty quick (few day) shipping of a complete new set of not only the broken paddle but all paddles, the paddle case and screws to go with it (basically the entire product without the electrical parts). Can't give it a 5 because a paddle snapped during normal use, but very happy with the purchase overall.
