Walter Lippmann called it "enlightened self interest."
I thought the book would be about investing in the stock market. It is rather about caring about the people with whom one is working. There is the Gordon Gekko way of grabbing quick bucks- "greed . . . makes everything possible"- and the Raj Sharma way (to quote Tom Lehrer out of context) of "doing well by doing good."When we bought our first house, our attorney (Harvard Law,1969) shook hands with the seller's attorney (Harvard Law, 1938). As we were getting up to leave, I asked my attorney if we needed to get some changes in writing. He responded, in effect, that it was not necessary, a handshake was good enough until the class of 1956. This book is about the lifelong value of such a handshake.

Personal biography with a political slant.
Not good. The author approves of DEI which means that he most likely invest in DEI companies. DEI companies are used to create losses not gains. He has very poor judgment.
