I installed these Hortsun motion sensor light socket adapters in my garage, and they've worked perfectly! They detect movement instantly and light up exactly when needed, saving energy without any fuss. This is a solid five-star upgrade for anyone's lighting setup!

These work quite well. Not the most attractive devices, but am using them in two closets so don't need to have a hand free to turn on the light. Quick response and sensitive enough without being overly sensitive.

I have this motion sensor installed in my garage about 12 feet off the ground. I am very happy with the motion sensing, and it's great when it turns off a few minutes later as expected. However I do have an occasional issue where the light will just stay on for hours after it has been triggered when I am sure there is no motion. It usually turns off eventually on its own. I have other sensors of a different brand installed in the garage and they do not have this problem.

This was a great alternative to having to replace the pull chain/string controlled light fixture once again. This was used in a light fixture above the laundry area of our basement where we have had to replace previous fixtures that were controlled by a pull string and chain which would break. The fixture works great but there was no way of turning it on and off so when the chain broke on the current fixture with the light on, I decided to try something different.This motion sensor was my best choice and upon receiving them I was able to install one in the socket very easily and it began working as we had hoped. Now when we approach that corner of the basement, the light comes on and stays on while we are moving about. Generally, when we are withing 10-12 feet of the sensor, the light will come on. Occasionally, if we have not move about within the sensor range, it will turn the light off but all we have to do is wave an arm to make it come back on. Much easier to install this than changing out the entire fixture.

These 3 have been in use for a long while, now. I like that you can vary the time with these, not into 5 minutes which was always a lot more than I needed.

A motion sensor reacts to motion, not a handwave. I have to put my hand to the bulb before it comes on. And would have been nice if it actually stays on for as long as I'm close by. Nope. It turns off and would require another hand signal or whatever.

I think the product works well for closet but not in an open area. Will not buy again.

Use them in my basement pull chain lights. Nice not having to find a pull chain in the dark. Great for seniors that may have mobility issues when looking to turn on pull chain lights.
