Awesome & Efficient!

I just installed this product and it’s working great. The install on this product was pretty simple and took me about 30min, mainly due to the old lever handle being problematic/stripping when trying to take it off + me being overly cautious so as to not damage anything during the install. It’s working seamlessly now and it’s pretty awesome/shocking to see how much less later is needed and used on the quick-flush (liquids) setting – The “up to 70% less water” claim is definitely accurate.Below are some additional observations/recommendations:1. NOTE that this specific product does NOT include a fill valve (not an issue for me, as I replaced the fill valve a year ago and the product works great with it).2. I’d recommend YouTube for install instructions, as what I found and used was on point and easily understood even though it included the Danco Fill Valve and instructions therein.3. The flush converter base was the only thing that threw me off during the install, as it was difficult to have a point of reference for a “snug fit”. I took it off and put it back on a few times before realizing that it was on correctly ( wasn’t sure how much the blue rubber piece should depress into the tank hole, but after some checking, I realized that it had dropped in fine).4. I tested including 4-sheets of toilet paper with the quick flush, for obvious reasons, and they went down fine.

Great product! Used it for many years👍

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Had to buy it again. My last repair job on one of my toilets lasted seven years. Hope this will last another 7+ years.

Been using these for years and seem to work well.

As the headline suggests, I installed these in my parents' respective homes over 10 years ago with no complaints. Seems there's a handful of complaints about the seal thickness and leaking here, but that hasn't been my experience. Also, as others have said, depending on the age and configuration of your toilet (i.e., if it has a traditional ball float valve) you may need a new valve. I've used both the Danco valve included with the retrofit kit (not this product, but includes it in the kit), and and float less valves.Installation is super easy as a DIY project and the instructions are pretty straightforward as far as getting the thing into the toilet tank and running. Where I'd dock points is the explanations on optimizing water use, which they base on measuring the existing water levels in the tank and bowl. It's not hard to figure out, but directions are unclear. But just getting dual flush to work is easy enough. You don't need to be a toilet 'power user.'The other drawbacks: the pushbutton action and the button itself. Since the button lifts a valve fighting the weight of the water in the tank via cable pull, it takes a pretty heavy push compared to my purpose-built dual-flush toilet.Second, the button does not play nice with lever holes that aren't squarely on the front or side of the tank. On one installation where the lever was located at the corner, I had to shim it out with a stack of washers and it looks strange.Lastly, it's kind of an ugly chromed plastic button. Seems a lot of folks prefer the dual-lever version of this. It's a tall ask but I wish they had a choice of buttons to match bathroom decor. All in all, it's one of the few readily-available dual-flush conversions, and IME, they last, and it's cheaper than replacing your whole tank.

Easy to install

It was not hard at all to fix the toilet with this. It is not noisy and great for the price.

Works but very difficult install.

It technically works but feels very flimsy. And the installation was horrible. The instructions were terribly translated and made it way harder than it needed to be. I hope to god I never have to do this again.

Pluses and Minuses.

There's positives and negatives with this product first I have purchase several of these because of the design. All newer toilet tanks fill with less water, about half the volume of older toilet tanks, the reason obviously for conservation and environmental purposes. So the more gallons in the tank the easier it was for waste goes down, which is why I replace all my toilets with this design. The water from a conventional flap value exits from the side when the flap raises, this type lets the water drop so it has more force to pull waste down. That for me was a big positive, since my kids throw everything down the toilet from to much toilet paper to a 2 man deep sea diving bell. On the negative side, I think this is overprice, about 3 times the cost of the side flap design. And this is here's a biggie, this will not work with tanks where the handle mounts on the front because the handle in this kit protrudes out to far and the toilet seat hits it and eventually marking/denting the toilet seat. It works with handles that are mounted on the side of the tank. I've purchased both the handle design and the button design, the handle pulls easy and the dual flush works good. The button design is very hard to push especially when your on the toilet and reaching back, I don't see how younger kids have enough strength to push the button design. On the positive side it's very easy to install. Like I mentioned this is expensive but maybe that's why they call it "the throne".

Can't stop it from leaking

On the plus side, this item is very easy to install. You don't need to remove the toilet tank, and you need any tools. If you study the instructions and watch a couple of the available YouTube videos, you really could install it in 5 - 10 minutes. However, no matter how I tried, I could not get it to stop leaking from tank to bowl, so there was a constant flow of water, and the tank would not fill enough to lift the float enough to stop the flow even briefly. If it were not for this problem, I would be one of the many who give it 5 stars, but mine didn't work and went into the trash.

Great water savings

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Flush volume was perfect for me. I drilled a new hole on side of tank to acommodate the buttons. I replaced a valve from the same manufacturer that wasn't a dual flush. I never touched the flow rate and installed it as it was set from manufacturer.
