Put your taste buds to the ultimate test
If you’re a fan of extreme sour candies, Barnetts Mega Sour Raspberry Bombs will put your taste buds to the ultimate test. These hard-boiled sweets are infamous for their intense, face-contorting sourness, followed by a satisfyingly sweet raspberry flavor. Here’s a detailed breakdown of the experience:Packaging & PresentationThe 250g (¼ kilo) bag is a good size for personal indulgence or sharing—though be warned, not everyone will be brave enough to handle more than one! The candies themselves are round, slightly rough in texture, and coated in a white sour powder that hints at the intense experience to come. Barnetts’ signature no-nonsense approach to packaging keeps things simple, making it clear you’re in for a serious sour treat.Flavor & Experience• Initial Sour Hit (First 10-15 seconds): These sweets don’t play around. The extreme citric acid coating delivers an eye-watering, tongue-tingling punch that can catch even experienced sour candy lovers off guard. If you’re not prepared, you might find yourself wincing, gasping, or even needing a quick sip of water.• Sweet Raspberry Reward (After the Sour Layer Dissolves): Once you power through the intense sourness, the candy transitions into a much more pleasant fruity raspberry flavor, which is smooth, sweet, and enjoyable. The contrast between the two phases makes the journey worthwhile.• Mild Heat & Tangy Aftertaste: Some people report a slight spicy or tingling sensation after the sourness fades, possibly due to the acidity. The aftertaste lingers, leaving a tart but pleasant raspberry note.Texture & LongevityThe candies are hard-boiled and long-lasting, so if you don’t bite down, each piece can keep you occupied for several minutes. The hard texture makes them a satisfying, slow-release treat rather than something to chew through quickly.Warnings & Considerations• Not for the faint-hearted! The extreme sour coating is one of the strongest on the market, and some people might find it overwhelming.• Not ideal for sensitive mouths—the acidity can cause irritation or even mild burns on the tongue if eaten in large quantities.

They need better packaging
The packaging was awful. I didn't even feel comfortable trying them because they were just in the plastic without any labeling. Three stars because I didn't try them and for all I know they were amazing but the packaging was scary.

Some of us can handle it, others not so much lol it was a fun challenge tho for kids and adults.Just try it tho, it's only a matter of a min or so and then the sour goes away and u have a nice Blueberry sucking candy for a few min.

Ok
Not as sour as I imagined. Good taste. I ate them with no reaction but they do have a little kick.
