Holy outstanding quality Batman!
I was looking for a replacement to the deteriorated foam insulation tube for my A/C that had disintegrated due to the sun and heat. After going to a couple of stores to look at options, which were not UV rated, I decided to splurge on these sturdy bad boys. Haven’t installed them yet but I’m sure they will hold up well.Update: now that I’ve installed it, I’m upgrading this to really awesome. If you pair it with the Airflex wrap to protect from sun, it should outlast your compressor.

Save some $ by replacing old insulation
Fairly easy to use, can tell the difference from the old it replaced after installation.

A/C suction line Insulation
I used the 7/8” ID x 3/4” wall to insulate my compressor suction line. It has a very nice built in flap to help cover the slit in the insulation and also a slit adhesive strip to join the slit.

Fantastic replacement for my decayed original!
I LOVE that this has the feature of sealing itself to itself WITH a wrap around cover for the seam. Fantastic design! Happy to have my insulation replaced since the old was decayed and the pipe was exposed.

Worked Well on Refrigerant Line
Worked well around my AC refrigerant line. Although the tape covering the inside seam adhesive was a little dried out and hard to remove on mine.

True 3/4” wall thickness. This is professional construction grade insulation tubing. It’s tough.
Heavy duty tubing with adhesive sealant. The insulation measures a true 3/4 of an inch thick. It has tight pores and is not prone to damage. I am using this outside from my AC units to the entrance point of my outside wall of my home. This is three times the tubing that is rotting on the copper tubing. It does respond to some curves and bends. I only needed a 6 foot section but this is still going to be a money saver. Buy with confidence I know my construction materials. Insulation is three steps:First wrapped the insulation around your pipe all the way with 6 foot length if possible. Or choose maybe 2 feet at a time.Next align the tubing so that is circular and the slit matches up to the other side as best it can then pull the yellow tape maybe 6 inches at a time and press the sides together to the pre applied adhesive. Pull some more yellow tape free as much as you want 6 inches 12“ at a time and again press the slit ends of the pipe together to make a tube. Continue this up the tubing until you have a continuously one piece of insulated 6 foot section of tube that is stuck together. Finally remove the covering from the black tape in sections again six 12 or 24 inches at a time and press this over the seam of the tubing that you just made. That you just closed with the adhesive side of the cut tubing. Work your way down and through the entire length of the 6 foot section of tubing pressing and rubbing the tape to make certain with good contact. You’re done. Good job.
