Excellent silent clock, just right.
Finally a user friendly, clearly visible clock for the bedroom. I wanted something that would allow me to ascertain the time without motor actions like picking up my phone and pressing buttons etc.The lighting options on this are superb, its dimmest setting (which can be selected manually or automatically . . . your choice) is perfect. I can open my eyes, see the time and THAT is what I wanted.I have tinnitus quite badly and listen to audiobooks before and during sleep to mitigate the whistling despite which the sleep/resting aspect is important.Clear as a bell and just what I was looking for - it even gives the temperature too (dressing gown or go for the naked dash !!)

Great piece of kit
I searched a lot for a new alarm clock, and this one has exceeded expectations, despite being from an unrecognised brand.Firstly, the form factor is nice - it’s compact but not too small, and the mirrored finish and lack of branding is great. It actually looks good on the bedside table. The display fills the front panel in a way that looks quite premium.Usability is good - decent easy-to-press buttons. It’s very clear when the alarm is set, and when it isn’t. No need to double-check that you’re going to be woken up!One review said that it makes noise while it’s operating. I worried about this, but it isn’t true at all. Plugged in, the clock display is always on and brightness can be adjusted. I prefer to have it unplugged most of the time, and the display comes on when you touch the clock or make a sound. This is great for checking the time in the dark. The snooze function works well with a light tap on the top. Alarms are set with an actual hardware switch, which feels reassuring if you’re relying on this to wake you up.There are lots of alarm tones to choose from. If I had any criticism, I suppose that about half of these were not to my liking. But that’s a personal thing, and there are four or five decent ones - which is enough for both alarms to be different. For the price, this is a great piece of kit.

OK But Not Great
Quite a good little clock easy to see and use handy battery backup but the only downside is that when the mains power is removesd or stopped the main display goes out, a bit of a fiddle when setting alarms but can be done, luckily had a spare power adaptor hanging aroung as this was needed to charge the internal battery up ,not quite sure how long the unit will last on this battery as to see a constant time you need to keep it powered up

Clear display, easy to use and set up.
This is probably the best thing I have purchased for decades. Very well made and extremely easy to use.Once charged up from a 5 volt supply (which only takes about an hour or so), mine ran for 7 weeks before needing to be recharged, which took the hour). It manages this by switching off the display after a few seconds. Sounds (like coughing or clapping) lights the display up again. If left plugged in, the display stays on all the while. The device has 4 different light levels (controlled by the clock at set time periods). These cannot be changed and works well in the UK but might be annoying in a different time zone. There is a touch sensitive button on the top which rotates round the brightness levels if the current one doesn't suit. There is a touch sensitive snooze button on the top, and to stop the alarm you can press ANY of the buttons on the back to silence it. (The alarm stops automatically after 2 mins). This means you don't have to find a specific off button. If I remember there are also volume levels for the alarms.Setting the alarm is easy as there are + and - buttons. Hold the alarm button down for 3 seconds (to stop you pressing it by mistake) starts the sequence of setting the hour, min, and alarm noise to use. This then moves on to the 2nd alarm setting. Most useful with the alarms is a slide switch to stop the alarm from working, which means you don't have to re-programme the alarm if you don't need it for a day or 2.The clock seems to be well built, light to carry if you are camping.Clear 3 colour display. Clear large white numbers for the time and alarm symbols, blue for the room temperature display (which I didn't realize it had), and red for the battery charge symbol which flashes when the clock needs to be recharged, stays on whilst charging and goes off once charged. With separate buttons and switches it makes the clock easy to use, none if that 'hold one button and press another' hassle my old alarm clock used. You can probably tell I'm very happy with my purchase and would recommend it to others.

Nice display, a bit awkward to use.
Positives first: The clock looks nice. The backlit LCD is excellent with no light leaking through the dark digits. It keeps time well. The temperature readout is useful. Negatives: It has no light sensor, so you have to constantly set the brightness by cycling through the different levels. One quirk: when set at the lowest light level, mine gets brighter at midnight (0:00). Brightness is controlled by a single touch sensor on the top, so it's very easy to change brightness by accident. The minimum brightness is a bit too bright (lights up my room) but might not bother everyone. The alarms are low-bitrate sound samples that aren't particularly pleasant, but will definitely wake you up! When not plugged in, you have to clap loudly to see the time - which isn't always practical (you'll wake everyone up!) In summary, it's a nice clock with lots of features, but I'd be happy to lose 90% of these features for basic automatic brightness and a lower, lowest brightness (I currently put it face down to sleep).

Highly recommend
Really good clock, bought for my daughter to stop her coming through too early in the morning. Easy to use and set the time and alarms. Brightness can be adjusted to suit. Nice size, easy to read display too. Very well priced and the battery lasts for ages.
