Cost effective pre emergent.
Great product if you have a large area to treat. I use a 30 gallon towed sprayer and often mix with a broad leaf killer to spray in the spring. First time I used this I over treated a small area and it will kill mature grass if too much is applied. My fault...

Great deal
Price per application makes this well worth the money. My early spring lawn looks great thanks to a fall application.

Early Spring and multiple applications throughout the year for at least two years.
This pre-emergent works very well against grass burs if applied heavily very early in the spring. When my grass bur problem was extremely bad I mixed 3 to 4 quarts with 50 gallons of water, surfactant and marking dye. I applied with a high pressure spray nozzle. I used five gallons of Princep to treat two acres. That is about 350-400 gallons of water to 5 gallons of Princep. I hit the densely infested areas with a lot of solution. If you want to get rid of grass burs YOU MUST treat your lawn three or four times a year. Some professionals will recommend six times a year. One year I thought I had the grass burs eliminated - Applied only two applications total that year and the problem appeared to be solved, and late the next summer the burs came back with a vengeance. Now I know the early Spring application is the most important. Late in the spring I apply a different product that is both a pre and post emergent. My soil is sandy loam and it seems the grass bur seeds become slightly buried by hard rains and are thus protected from the application. Multiple applications over a couple years seems to be the only fix to grass burs.

AZ Customer
Beware, the Princep product I received was manufactured on 8/23 - 1 1/2 years of shelf life before being sold. It likely has a 3 year life span when stored correctly. Who knows if this was stored in hot tempature, sunlight, etc. If you were to buy this chemical you should plan to use it up asap and it may be less effective.

Good Stuff
Very well packed. Delivered in perfect condition. Material is fresh. According to Syngenta, the batch I received has a recommended use-by date of 7/2022. Also, this material should be stored above 35°F. I like Princep because when applied for 3 consecutive springs, I can skip a year.

Works well but can leave white residue.
Takes care of the weeds as it is supposed to, but the thick white liquid clogs my spray filter, and overspray leaves a white coating on building walls and leaves of bushes. Spray carefully! (I am using a tank sprayer and boom on my mower.)
