SummitMosquito Dunk Tablet, 20 Count (Pack of 1)

Please don't use plain tap water, the chlorine will kill the enzymes in the dunks. Always use filtered water from a really good garden filter like Boogie Brew or Frizzle RV (avoid Camco, very poor quality as I found the hard way). I soak 1/4 chunk of these for about an hour in a one gallon sprinkle head watering can to activate. For easy removal I place the chunk in a course filter mesh bag. While waiting for it to activate I throughly water my plants then stir the water and only sprinkle the top of the soil, no need to saturate because it's a waste to do otherwise. This kills the larvae of mosquitoes and gnats and any other pesky flying bugs. Does NOT kill adults. If you have an infestation, repeat every 3 days after lightly watering the top of the soil before sprinkling this on again. Do it for about 10 days then every 2 wks. I do this with brand new soil knowing within a few days I'll have the flying pests from the soil. Miracle Gro is the worst offender but I've found them in pretty much all new soil. I do it right after it rains too to conserve water and when it seems like the skeeters really come out for a fresh meal. Also sprinkle it on all your rained on wet bushes. If you do this all summer you'll have far less bugs. Won't hurt adult earth worms but don't know about earth worm larvae. I've heard ppl say it'll kill the invasive jumping worm larvae. Bottom line, if you haven't figured it out, we love this stuff. Adding a 1/8 chunk to birdbaths or any standing water where mosquitoes breed will wipe them out.

These mosquito repellent dunks are amazing! I have gotten these from the same seller multiple times and works well. I put 2 pellets in my pond and it is really good at repelling mosquito larvae. This items stays in tact even when in water and also when the filter is continuously running. Each pellet is good for at least 1 month. So I can repell mosquitos year round!

This is a very effective product. My septic tank man recommended that I put it in my tank once per month. In addition to that, I put 1/4 tablet in a 5-gallon bucket with about 3" of water and some leaves. The water attracts the mosquitoes, and the tablets kill them. I have about a dozen of them around my property.Although I love the product, the packaging is terrible. Getting the tablets out is a real challenge. I hope they see this and consider an alternative.

Mosquito dunks are the only game in town if you’re trying to keep mosquitoes away when you live somewhere with water. We have little creeks around our house and have a constant supply of mosquitoes when the flow slows down. We use little spikes to hold them in place in a couple of different spots in the creek. We’re probably taking away the mosquito larva that tadpoles eat, but they’re just gonna have to find some other kind of food. Unfortunately, they don’t last very long so we need a good supply of mosquito dunks. This was a good deal.

Great for killing mosquito larvae in large water areas like fountains, self watering planters and small ponds. Throw one in and it will kill the Mosquito larvae before they hatch into mosquitoes. I use these in my self watering planters in my patio garden and I don't have larvae in my planters. I replace the dunks about once a month and this pack lasts me all season.

this is an old recipe and it works very well. Initially i put it in my catch basin but then rain washed all of them towards the pop-up emitter and clogged it. It's my fault obviously. I use this in conjunction with Bifen spray and works very well. I put some into my neighbor's yard which is always soggy and i see a noticeable drop in numebr of mosquitoes

Opening this product was such a task I almost gave up and returned them other than that a decent product.

My pond was teeming with mosquito larvae which I was horrified to see, a result of not running it enough and the stagnant water allowing them to breed. I added these and within 24 hrs I could see some of the larvae dying. I then went away on a trip and 3 weeks later when I came back they were all gone. The dunks are kind of firm I had to work to crumble them up and spread them out and they remained in chunks floating around. I was concerned they wouldn't dissolve and spread evenly but I guess they did.
