Good cable
Sometimes taking risks with low cost products online pays off. This is one of those cases. The cable looks and feels like it's pretty good quality, and the driver's installed on my computer as soon as I plugged it in. It only took a few seconds.Next I started up chirp, and downloaded my radio (UV5R). It worked just fine. Then I programmed in some repeaters and a few simplex frequencies I like to use and uploaded it onto my radio. You can't ask for anything more from a programming cable, and it functioned perfectly.

Works well, unlike several others I have owned. .
These cables can be finicky. Some work with one radio and not others some work with one computer but not another. This one worked well with all my devices.

It works, and windows 10 already had the drivers. Plug and play
I use this cable infrequently, and when I need it every six months or so I can't find it. And when you purchase one, sometimes it won't have the right chip inside to work with the Baofeng UV-5R radios for some reason. I can say that this product does work with my radios, and it is plug and play and doen't require any fooling with software drivers. But if you have another version of windows than 10, or don't have access to the internet, or some other strange thing, it does come with a small CD with the drivers on it.

Worked with Win7&10 and CHIRP for Baofeng UV-5RA
Plugged in and drivers downloaded automatically on both my Win 7 and 10 machine... did not use the CD at all. My programing software, CHIRP, recognized the new COM only after one restart on my Windows 7 computer and finally after two restarts on the Windows 10 machine. On day one I have my Baofeng UV-5RA is programed! Side notes: if you use CHIRP, have volume up on radio, as the software says, and install in Program Files (x86). At first I installed in a separate folder and CHIRP never found the COM port. After switching to Program File (x86) and a couple restarts, it found the COM port associated with this cable.

Worked with Baofeng radios and CHIRP.
Used this cable to program Baofeng BF-F8+ radios with CHIRP on my laptop running Windows 7 Home. I had no issues with drivers and didn't need the disc that was included. Truly plug and play! Beware the counterfeit cables being sold here. If it doesn't come in the box with the disc then you are not getting the same cable. I have found the hard way that the ones with BAOFENG written on them ironically tend to be the counterfeit ones. Get this one and if you want to order more make sure to click on buy again so you get the same cable.

Failure. After 1 day of use, cable not working.
The Tenway Baofeng USB Programming Cable is used to adjust the digital settings on BaoFeng handheld radios.Using a software called CHIRP, you are able to download the settings from your handheld BaoFeng radio and adjust them to suit your needs. With over 100+ settings available, you will want to type these in on a computer rather than using the small keypad on your radio.I purchased this cable with the explicit goal of programming several BaoFeng radios using a USB port and the SP & MIC jack on the radio.7/8/2020:Plugged cable into USB 3.0 port on Dell Precision T3600 and allowed Windows 7 to complete a driver search online. Cable driver was successfully applied and I began downloading the initial state of a BaoFeng UV-5R+PLUS radio. To do this, you turn off the radio and plug in the two plugs on the end of the cable into the SP MIC port on the right side of the radio. Turn on the radio only after you have CHIRP open and ready to upload or download data. After adjusting many parameters and adding just two channels to my list for some GMRS license band transmissions, I uploaded the configuration images to my first radio. Restarted radio and it had all the settings as I wanted. Repeated the same process on the same computer for a different radio for my father. The only change was I gave the startup screen my father's name. Uploaded the configuration and both radios operated as expected.7/9/2020:Connected same cable to a BaoFeng BF-F8HP radio and turned it on with CHIRP open. An error appeared stating that I have lost communications with my radio. I tried using the cable in another USB port on my PC with the proper COM number selected and got the same message. Next, I used the radios from yesterday and got the same error. Next, I used an old Dell laptop and got the same error with both model radios. The TENWAY Cable stopped working and would not work in any other PC that I could find.I need good solutions and spent extra money and bought the BTECH Programming Cable PC03 FTDI Cable Dual Pin at the same time as this Tenway product. The BTECH PC03 cable has two LED lights and TENWAY does not. BTECH PC03 worked for me and I was able to program my BaoFeng BF-F8HP radio.Tenway Baofeng USB Programming Cable Win 7/10, 64Bit for Baofeng Radio UV-5R, BF-888S failed after programming two radios. I added a picture to show that I have not damaged the cable.
