are they made in USA ?
how long is the 1/2" wrench?
Ive had this product for 2 weeks and I barely have used it and the ratchet came apart. Is there any type of exchange or reimbursement?
Will these hold up to impact use?

Very well worth the price

These are nice wrenches. They are a little thinner than most wrenches which I liked. They fit very good on bolts and have a tight grip.

Excellent Wrenches for the Money

I like Crescent products because they're well designed and tough enough for the typical DIY user, but still relatively inexpensive. I like the dark finish on this set, but we'll see how it holds up over time. The 12-point design makes it easy to get a grip on a nut and the head is slender enough to fit into some small spaces. I really like the longer reach on these; I haven't had a "long" set before and wonder why I waited. For auto work it's especially helpful.

Very nice set. How socket finishes should be.

Although i cant comment on the durability yet these seam very well made. Chrome tools are overrated and slippery. This is how tool finishes should be done. These brushed sockets look awesome and are slightly more grippy than chrome. Really like how the sockets are made and the finish. These grip the side of the fasteners, not the corners. My go to sockets are my Milwaukees and old USA Craftsman but these are a close favorite. The ratchet is smooth and i like the black but the coated finish will be chipped up eventually. And even though its heavy it feels good in the hand.

They are so nice I didn't want to use them.

Seem solid, not convinced about a better bite

Overall, I don't think I would recommend these to a friend. But they do seem solid and functional.I bought these to upgrade a basic set of wrenches from a common budget tool retailer. That set served OK for years, but in the rust belt, wrenches have a very challenging job. If you rust and corrode material from the nut, you are more likely to offer force to the edge of the hex, and round it. A cheap wrench will also stretch and flex under a heavy load, ruining the geometry and rounding bolts. So in short my cheap wrenches were rounding rusted bolts.I emphasize this because it's why I chose the Crescent wrenches over alternatives--they advertise a special drive pattern that moves the force away from the edge of the hex.I was looking at 6 point wrenches, or 2X the cost for higher levels. Other than the special bite advertised, I chose these mainly for the brand name, and the functionality of long reach.Well the first thing I did was grab some nuts and bolts and my old set of wrenches to compare. I have to admit there was very little difference in how accurate the mouths were and the way they bit the bolts. The Crescent seemed to only apply force away from the edge if it's nested just right with the bolt. In real usage this won't always happen, and in that case it puts force on the edge like usual. I saw this by locking two 13mm nuts against each other and driving them together with two different brands of wrenches. They similarly, and it's worth mentioning the Crescent left some marks on the edges. The crescent did not seem to stretch or flex under load as much though. And the closed end is much tighter than the old wrench I tested it against. However overall I am not convinced this is an upgrade that will greatly help with already worn, rusted bolts. So I am still in the market, possibly moving towards a 6 point wrench for socket-like security.I will be keeping the Crescents since they are long reach at a reasonable cost I suppose. And because my test was very crude, so they may prove themselves. And because crescent's return policy should cover me OK if I break one. Finally, what people say about the carrying case is true, they will fall right out. I took some popsicle sticks and wedged them under the spring clips. This will make them very secure. Make sure you trim them so they don't interfere with the wrench going into it's little slot. Add some extra wedges for the very back one. Add a dab of superglue. Put some paint on the black etchings. Good to go.

Sleak

Fast shipping, bought to replace my old k'mart set ! For real ! I also like the looks of these new ones. But, the black is harder to spot when you drop one.

Surprisingly Nice

Ratchet out the package is surprisingly nice for 20$. Backdrag isn’t terrible and I suspect it will wear in and feel very nice. The textured ring on the sockets are just small enough where they don’t help with gripping the socket much better horizontally but vertically do. Finish is much nicer in person. Sockets are shorter than equivalent Pittsburgh and more comparable to old Craftman USA. Only time will tell as I begin to use these in a professional mechanic environment. These are replacing some of my Pittsburghs. I’ve been using them on impacts and the finish has been holding up without and chips.

feels really solid

not wanting to pay literally $150 for a Milwaukee or Snap-on ratchet set (that's crazy), i went for this very affordable set. i like it!it feels nice and solid, the bits are sturdy, and the ratchet itself is very strong and ratchets smoothly. i returned a $70 DeWalt set because this one is just as good - if not better - and less than half the price.made in China products tend to be quite good these days. they've been making our products for decades now, and their QC and build quality is pretty excellent.tip for the naysayers: DeWalt, Milwaukee, Craftsman, Black + Decker/Stanley, and most other big-box tool brands are also made in China, and they have been for decades. or they're assembled in the US using Asian-made parts and components.i won't pay more for big names. they're $20 products with a $75 brand name label slapped on the front. this set suits me just fine, and will suit 99% of homeowners' needs, unless you somehow need extreme heavy-duty tools for building and maintaining your nuclear submarine or attack helicopter.
