For a beginner kayaker with an adventurous toddler, this kayak has been amazing! I'm an average size woman who doesn't pride myself on being very strong (5'6" 130 lbs). This kayak is easily managed by myself while also herding a 5 year old. It takes me about 10-15 minutes to fully set up, including loading gear in and everything. It's not overly heavy.I did have a minor valve issue that needed fixing. The self sealing valve wasn't tight enough at the spring. I needed a Phillips screwdriver and some needle nose pliers to tighten the spring so the valve sealed. This did not have anything to do with the valve itself being loose (the tool provided with the kayak tightens the whole valve, not where I needed it tightened). After fixing that, no air escaped while removing the pump before putting on the valve caps!There is plenty of room for 2 adults and a toddler and gear if you don't mind bending your knees a little. For just my toddler and I, setting the seat up in the middle was perfect. The kayak is very stable in the water and I never felt like we would tip, even as the 5 year old flung herself side to side catching bugs on the water.The hardest part about this kayak is folding it back up into the backpack. I usually just fold it quickly enough to shove it in the bag at the beach then bring it home, reinflate, rinse it out, let it dry, then tightly fold it back up. Much easier with the space at home.Overall, its a perfect addition to our summer adventures. I would choose this over a hardshell kayak again and again!

Strong rubbery outside. Comes with a repair patch which we had to use on one of our kayaks. The repair kit worked. Larger and stronger than the lighter green kayaks we previously had. Gives you more room inside for anything you want to take along without crowding your feet, along with the required life jacket for many lakes. Paddles are easy to figure out and quickly assembled correctly. Fast to blow up in the three places to put air, and also to deflate at the end of your day. They fit fine (2 of them) deflated in our smaller SUV. We bought detachable back supports elsewhere to make these super comfortable, although it comes with blow up ones that were not as strong and high on our shoulder blades as ones we easily bought online.

The kayak is spacious and sturdy. The accessories are not.One of the seats broke the first time it was inflated. The seats make it difficult to sit comfortably. The pump works well but is very flimsy. As this uses a special hose attachment, if the pump breaks the kayak will be useless. The oars are less than ideal, but otherwise ok.I'm not sure I would buy this product again. Stability:Very stableSize:Plenty of space for 2 adults and maybe a small dog.Ease of assembly:It was quick and easy to inflate/deflate.

I would love to get a tandem hard-shell kayak or canoe to use with my son, but they are incredibly expensive and also difficult to transport. I took a chance on this Intex 68309EP Excursion Pro K2 inflatable two-person (and convertible to one-person) kayak, and I'm very happy I did. The quality is excellent (sort of prosumer: certainly better than an air mattress but maybe not quite made for Navy SEALS). I honestly don't understand all the negative reviews. For two Benjamins, this is an incredible deal and easy to set up. I'm middle-aged and out of shape, but I had everything inflated and assembled in 10 minutes just using the pump they included. The size is perfect for our use (I'm six foot tall, and my son is about four feet tall). I think if you have two NBA players, they aren't going to fit. The stability is good with the included two shark fins, and the speed is fast-enough for me. We aren't trying to set any Olympic records for flying down waterfalls. This is an excellent little boat for parent-child excursions on a calm lake or river.

This is gonna be a long one so buckle up.I grew up on the water in Maine. I guided paddle trips for a prominent youth organization. I have been Certified to teach paddle sports by every organization that does so. I have thousands of hours and even more miles on the water in small craft.I love this thing.So my family has been off the water for a while do to no storage for boats where we live. I have been looking at inflatables for a bit, prime day came around, and I went for it.Here’s the good:super compact. We can fit two in the back of my wife’s small suv with everything we need for a family of 4 to have a great day on and off the waterVery stable. Try as he might, my two year old can barely even rock one of these, even with my 280lbs in the high seating position. The peace of mind with little ones on board is amazing.Now, the amazing:Versatility. I have never had a craft of any kind that can be so quickly reconfigured to cover any possible need. We took them to a local park with a group of friends to really give them a workout. Within 90 minutes the went from carrying 1 adult and one child, to two adults, to two 7-10 year olds and one adult, to just one adult fishing. With the way the seats and foot pegs attach to the boat, you can re set for weight distribution or activity in seconds. It’s really kind of mind boggling how well thought out this is.Ease of paddling. So I’ve read all the reviews about this being slow and unresponsive. I don’t understand what they are talking about. For the sheer size of this thing it is darn near nimble. And. with the correct skeg for the water you are paddling, it is almost thoughtless to control which allows you to pay attention to what you want, rather than wrestling a boat. Wonderful.Getting setup. My daughter (who is seven) and I can park our car and be on the water in just about 15 minutes. It’s great. We can get in a paddle after work/school with just about the same ease as having hard boats without all the extra weight, transportation issues etc.A couple of things that maybe aren’t the best, but I really don’t care:The paddles are terrible. They are plastic and aluminum 5 stage, short paddles. They suck. You can get way better for 30-40 bucks on here. Do that, problem solved.Long term durability. We’ve had them out a handful of times and I can see scuffs and fold marks already. But you have to remember this is an inflatable boat. They just aren’t going to last forever. These are tougher than most I’ve seen and I if I get a couple of seasons out of them at this price point, I’m happy.Over all, the only thing I am upset about is that I waffled on this purchase for so long. These watercraft have quickly become an integral part of my family’s summer and we will enjoy them for as long as we can.Well done Intex, Well done.
