Overland Single-Pelt (2' x 3.5') Premium Australian Sheepskin Rug

I have purchased many Overland products in the past and really trusted the company. They were produced in Australia, were really high quality, and the backs were double stitched with nicely finished edges. Very sturdy and lux. Unfortunately, this pelt has a "Made in China" tag on it, was not double stitched, and it just seems that the quality care was not at the same level it used to be. If I had never had an Overland product before, I may not know this. They may have just gotten too large and started outsourcing the production. The pelt itself is soft and thick, but the finishing (and Made in China tag) disappointed me. I hope this helps. I wish they would go back to their previous level of quality. They built the Overland brand on that, but seem to have departed from that corporate ethos. That being said, our dogs love lying on them!!

I was you...trying to find a sheepskin rug larger than a postage stamp, but less expensive then a house payment. I went mind numb evaluating sizes, prices and reviews......Then I found this brand and saw five stars from every person reviewing...I stopped looking, chose my color (Ivory, because one reviewer said the color reminded her of a polar bear), clicked purchase and waited.Honestly, the entire presentation blew me away. From the box, the wrapping, brush and then the HUGE super lush, lush sheepskin. There is was, more beautiful then the pictures and the reviews.Stop wasting your time shopping around because if you purchase this sheepskin your feet will have found their forever happy place.Oh, to give the pix scale -that's my big honking size 9 foot buried up to the ankle in ahhhhh.UPDATE: I purchased another pelt, same color and size - same amazing experience.

Just received my Overland sheepskin rug today. It's beautiful and good quality. The thickness of the pelt is how I judge a pelt. This pelt is nice and thick. The color is the closest to white that you will get in a sheepskin rug. To me, my rug is a white, not ivory. My Pomeranian has already taken over this pelt. He loves it. I own a 10 pelt sheepskin rug that I have in my living room. It looks like the same gorgeous ivory rug I ordered 10 years ago. I wanted something smaller for my bedroom. This pelt is the perfect size to sink your feet into the first thing in the morning. It is large enough to add a touch of character to a room. I'm very satisfied with the Overland quality. I ordered 2 of these in grey. They are awesome—super plush and very well constructed. They arrived packaged beautifully with care instructions and a little rug brush to fluff up the rugs. As you can see from the photo, these rugs were a huge hit with my golden retrievers. I have one on each side of the bed. My floor surface is luxury vinyl planking, which looks just like hardwood. These rugs stay in place just fine on their own, and I have not found it necessary to put any sort of rug pad/gripper underneath. Overland brand is definitely the way to go. I will be ordering a few more for my downstairs area.UPDATE 3/21/19: I ordered two more of these rugs. They are every bit as beautiful as the first ones I ordered. They are consistent in color, quality, and construction. Love them!

5 star all around. We have ordered several rugs from this vendor and every one is superior quality. Packaged very thoughtfully including an extra cardboard barrier to protect the item from where you will open the box. Plus, its not just thick and soft, its magically, sumptuously, gloriously thick and soft!! High end product, high quality vendor! If you want a thick, lustrous, dreamy sheepskin, this is the one to get. Worth every penny, they last for years. A quick tumble in the dryer with no heat just to fluff the dust off, and a brisk brush with the brush included (which I also use on my cats BTW, and they enjoy) and its brand new again.

I initially planned to buy a different brand, but after reading the Amazon reviews, I purchased the Overland instead. I couldn't be happier with it. This was a Christmsas gift for my mother and she absolutely loves this rug. It's exactly as described and more. Luxurious and bright - I purchased the ivory, it adds a cozy yet expensive look to the room it's in. The fur is thick and long and the rug is exactly the size you would expect for a sheepskin to be used as a throw or on a wooden floor or by the bed. It is actually a little longer than I thought.With good care it should last a long time, this is high quality sheepskin. I will purchase one for myself in a different color.

I tried to talk myself into a less expensive sheepskin, but it seemed hit or miss. I had to upload a pic of the cappucino one I ordered. The pic on Amazon doesn't do it justice. It's much more multi-dimensional.

Just opening the box, you can tell this is a quality product. The packaging and care materials are better than your average "just thrown in a box" Amazon item. I even received a small wire brush for fluffing the wool. I ordered the ivory color and in person it reminds me of polar bear fur - creamy white. The fur is deep enough to sink my fingers into - nice and cushy. I have a similarly-sized synthetic sheepskin and there is no comparison. This is worth the money.
