Durable Acrylic Cookbook Stand Transparent Easy Viewing iPad/Tablet Holder, Great for Cooking/Baking Without Making Your Cook Book Dirty.

I purchased this item and was very disappointed. The stand literally stands completely upright and has no angle at all making it hard to use. It is neither functional nor useful as a cook book stand. The only way that this would be of any use is if you just used it for decoration and not to read your cookbook while cooking. The acrylic is sturdy but unless you plan on laying your book down to read it is completely non functional.

It is a little tight getting a thicker cookbook into the slot, but it's doable. I prefer putting the book in upside-down, then lying flat to get an angle.

Most importantly, the angle of the stand does not allow easy reading of the recipe, it is too perpendicular to the countertop and should be angled back more towards the wall. It could be physically leaned back against the wall, but then it would slip on the countertop, and anyway, this defeats the purpose of the cookbook stand. The construction seemed sturdy, but it was useless for my needs due to this major flaw. Secondly, the opening to slide the cookbook in seems to be too tight to let this easily happen. For these two reasons, I would not recommend this cookbook stand. (On the plus side, it was sturdy and there were no scratches in the acrylic) I sent it back, which was easy and my purchase price was returned quickly.

I wanted a book stand so I could read my books hands-free. This worked perfectly. I also like this for my cookbooks; makes the perfect angle for easy reading.

The cookbook stand is what I expected in a quality finished product. It is made out of clear acrylic with rounded corners and is lightweight, but still able to hold up a large cookbook. My only concern is the angle in which it stands; that is, the book leans back only 10 to 12 degrees. Therefore standing nearly vertical it's harder to read when it's on the countertop. Hence, my 3 star rating.

Like the product, but may I suggest to youPut a heavy duty adhesive clear coat plastic over it so when the food your mixing with a hand held electric beaters gets away from you in one quick moment and little splatters go every which way,you can just wipe it away. Also my kitchen is extremely small [we had to take apart our kitchen table and chairs and just put up wooden boards and crates so we could store all our appliances. Despite the set-up the kitchen seems a little more organized, but still have no counter space to talk of. We have a flat top stove and that is my work area. Is it heat resistance? Because of this situation I am afraid the bottom will warp and then I'd have to trash it.

I got this to hold up the recipe cards for our Hello Fresh recipes. This is perfect. I was afraid the card would flop backwards, but no, it's awesome. As you can see from the picture, you can barely tell anything is holding it up.

When your cookbook is in the device, it’s almost perpendicular to the countertop. That means that your looking at the top of the cookbook, not the page with the recipe. They need to change the angle from about 80 degree to about 45 degrees. Disappointed.
