Lekoch Bamboo Plates
Love these plates in spite of the fact that they cannot go in the microwave!!! They are beautiful that look like wood, very easy to wash - just all around wonderful plates that did not require killing trees to produce - I love that most of all.

A well-made product.
Primarily, I use this for a paper plate liner. However, the plates are well-made and sturdy enough to eat light meals on. I am very pleased with the quality. Amazon never ceases to send me good products.

These are Keepers
These plates are solid Melamine plastic, with a thin layer of Bamboo. They look fantastic on the table, and are made to last, if you are looking for single use party plates, not these. Melamine is heat resistant and one of the plastics that cannot be recycled _or_ used in a microwave. If you want to microwave, use a Corele glass plate, and set it on one of these to keep the hot glass off your tablecloth. or, microwave in something else, and seerve up on these.

Great plates for kids.
Plates are great for kids that are just starting to eat. My boys love them. The colors are very nice and they are not made from plastic which is the best part.

poor design
Broke the first time I picked it up. Appears to simply be melamine back with wood grain bottom. Would have returned but had thrown out receiving packaging

Durable
I'm happy with this purchase. I bought these for my toddlers to use instead of plastic. They seem durable so far as they have been thrown to the floor several times!

Not solid bamboo
I thought the plates would be solid bamboo, as are other bamboo plates that I have. But these have a bamboo eating surface (if in fact it is bamboo - not sure) but the back is plastic or other substance. That was disappointing.And one fell out of the cabinet - my fault - and broke into 4 pieces. And my floor is a kind of linoleum that even even glass jars have not broken on when they fell. So I was disappointed and surprised when it broke.Also the plates slide on my table because of the "plastic" back, and I have to put a placemat or a thin rubber pot holder or non skid mat under them when I eat off them.
