We just watched this movie Zoo today and it was absolutely amazing
Okay this movie was amazing I thought I would give it a try I hadn't heard of it before and I would have been happy if it was just an okay movie. To my surprise it was far more than that it was absolutely amazing and I love that it's a true story I was in tears for so much of this movie and happy and triumphant during other parts. It is safe to say that my baby and I are huge fans of elephants and to watch this story about Buster the real elephant and everything that those kids went through and the lady that helped them was just really touching to watch.

cute BUT SLOW
I wouldn't pay to watch this again. Cute story line (and parts of it true) but really slow. Maybe good for kids?? If you like the idea of it, check out the book "Elephant in the Garden" it's wonderful and x10 better than the movie! We actually read the book first and tried to find a movie version of it. The book doesn't disappoint, buuuut the movie does.

Not for us.
Tried to watch this with my family. My 5 year old was too disturbed and confused that we quit 30 minutes in. We were still waiting for anything that wasn’t tragic to happen.I spent most of the time trying to explain war and why they would kill the animals.

Charming, feel good movie
I loved this movie. Such a touching, true story. The kids were wonderful in this and I loved the diversity of characters and how they came together for a common cause during trying times and ended up being friends.

Film to stimulate all the emotions (for kids especially)
my 7 year old says he would give it a 4 because it made him sad at parts. I thought it was very good and really did elicit all the emotional responses and led to great discussions between he and I.

You Just Have To Love A Elephant
The snotty bad kid got his. The big bully turned it around. Tom was a hero. Jane was an even bigger hero. Over all a very good little movie!

Quick delivery but quality poor
DVD arrived nine days after ordering - quick service. However, DVD box cover was in Dutch and, although the soundtrack was in the original English, the picture quality of the video was disappointing as it appeared to be an inferior copy. The film is based on a true World War 2 story about a lady who took an elephant home at night in case the zoo was bombed and to save the elephant from being destroyed. The story has been changed slightly to attribute the elephant rescue to a group of children but otherwise, it is true to the real story. Filming took place in Belfast, Northern Ireland and in Ontario, Canada. I was zookeeper Dick Foster in the film.

Really good film for family viewing
Highly recomended and a slightly unusual family film in todays VFX heavy family film market. Back to a more traditional look telling an adaptation of true wartime story featuring some feisty children and an elephant. A little gem
