The Secret Life of Money: A Kid's Guide to Cash Paperback – Illustrated, March 15, 2012

I've been reading this book out loud for the past few weeks with my 12 yr. old. son and it's definitely a valuable book. It's the first one I've chosen to begin the conversation about becoming financially educated. It's written in a language that kids can relate to and it packs a punch with very useful, practical information. We were eating at a trendy restaurant this weekend, where a burger that use to cost $12 is now $17, and he made the comment to me that "Inflation is terrible, dad." It's helping him to become aware of money in a way that he wasn't before. I highly recommend this book to share with young kids.

I gave this book to my two nieces and two nephews for Christmas. They were skeptical as only preteens and teens can be, but once they started reading it, they were engaged. It's written clearly and jargon-free, and it's easy for anyone to understand.

I am giving rarely reviews. But for this book I must.I got this book for my 10 years older daughter and we read it together. It explains to the kids the function of money and how to deal with that.I could recommend this book to the parents who want to educate their money and spending to their kids.
