Love my new cloak!
I love my new cloak! This has been on my Wish List for months, just because I've always wanted a cloak instead of a coat in the winter. But, I don't normally spend so much on a coat, and what with global warming and all, I held off.But then we got invited to a Harry Potter party, and figured it would make a fine wizard's robe. I couldn't be happier. It is a heavy, extremely comfortable cloak. The plush lining is luxurious. The wool shell is impenetrably warm. The hood is the perfect balance of warm, private, and mysterious.Beyond a practical daily garment, it has plenty of cosplay potential. Wizard, for sure. Jedi, if you're not too picky about authenticity. It would support any sort of mystic, monk or royalty role.It is VERY heavy. Great heft for walking in the winter, and indulgent for schlepping around the house with the thermostat tucked down a notch. But don't plan on hiking 12 miiles through DragonCon -- you'll roast yourself. The only thing I don't care for is that it gaps down the front center, and the outer cloak does not fully come together at the neck or down the body. The lovely knotted buttons are great, but between them there is no overlap, so you get a half-inch gap. Unfortunate if you are wearing this for warmth. (But perhaps a style bonus if you've got a contrasting color shirt underneath) I may try to modify it to have some overlap there.I'm also going to add pockets to the outer cape. It has very nice pockets on the inner cloak, but I'd like them on the outside shell, too. Then I could tuck my hands in and wrap the cloak closed around me. I'll also make them pass-through pockets, so I can poke my hands out from the inside, without baring my torso. Also, note there is no belt or fastener for the outer cloak. All in all, I love it, and expect to get lots of use from it.

Got this as a gift from a friend, I love it. Whenever it's a bit cold this is a great cloak to wear around the house or around the block. The outside is a more coarse fabric but the inside has a soft and fuzzy lining so it's not irritating to exposed skin when wearing it. Something that might not be obvious is that it actually has pockets, vary deep ones in fact i could fit a whole sport water bottle into it when i tried. I got a size larger then i ware and while a bit heavy it fits as you'd expect a large cloak too. For meditating it does just cover up my legs when cross-legged and the hood covers my head well enough that an overhead light doesn't bother me, but once again i got a size larger then i ware so keep that in mind when choosing a size.

I am very happy with all the items I have purchased from Katuo. The worksmanship and attention to detail is wonderful. The fabrics are beautiful. I wish them much success and happiness going forward and plan to purchase again. Wuji / Asheville, NC, USA

Original design - but poorly executed
The cloak is roughly made, with unstitched parts (poor workmanship). I give 2 stars rating just because of the original idea presented here.
