The item arrived around 3 weeks after ordering: Unfortunately it is black, not Air Force blue blue as described, which is a pity as I already have a similar item in black. Item is certainly “packable” as promised, came folded into 4. Unfortunately, even after ironing I can’t get the brim back into shape, so it’s wavy, but pretty nonetheless. Crown is lined but not particularly thick material; has vents in each side and good strong poppers so you can wear it Cowboy style if you wish. Brim is sturdy, with four rows of stitching for extra strength and a good thick cord with toggle to keep it on even in the strongest of summer breezes. Overall, not a bad buy for the price.

It is cotton made, so it’s important if you are going in a place which sunny and wet condition, I have used it in Australia, from the very hot and dry weather of the outback, to the very hot and wet weather of the tropical rainforest. It keeps you cool and somekind of dry as it will absorbe a good amount of drops if you are swetting from your forhead. Also you can use the full rim or fold its sides and hold them by the clips. The little cord will also ensure it doesn’t fly away from you when it’s windy and will let you keep it on your back if you want to remove the hut and still have hands free.It needs to be shaped by you, as it comes completely folded in wrong way, so make it wet, shape it and let it to dry.

I find this hat acceptable. Availability in different sizes would be more appropriate. For me it is a little tight making it feel even warmer than it is. At least it will not come off in the wind. It would be too hot to wear on warm days. I was hoping the brim would have been firmer which I thought was the case from the photo. The chin strap is a plus point as this sort of thing is needed where I live. Colour is fine too. It is a useful hat for my collection unless my head gets any bigger! It will only be worn on cooler days.

It arrived very quickly. What you see is what you get. Size is correct for what I ordered. Is Ideal for both South Africa Safari then also for the beach with the wide brim. Can easily be rolled and put in a bag. The chin strap is great as it can be dropped on my back whilst using my Camera whilst on Safari. Cannot wait to use it in September and is easily washable and looks very robust. A nice denim, great colour for a female and will not show the dirt !

Hat is well made with thick canvas cotton, looks good, wide enough brim to keep the sun off when down but can pin the sides up when not needed unlike some floppy hats. Can squash it up into a bag for space saving. I will say, fits me great but I don't have a huge head. It's probably more small to medium.

I got this for my dad for fathers day but it didn't fit him. Hat is far too small and does not seem to match size described. On reflection the model pictured seems to have quite an elongated head so maybe best for those of you whose heads aren't on the round side. It's fairly thick too so bit sweaty for a summer hat but might do for the autumn or spring.

The quality of the hat is what we expected. Our only complaint is that it was slightly too small for a man of average size head.

The Only problem I have had with this hat ,Is the colour is not fast? I ended up with a blue ring of colour round my forehead? I think their should be a warning telling you the dye is not fast I have Given the hat a good wash I will see how it goes Today?? ( my wife Mary boughtit the hat for me ),
