verify the output of external power adapters!
THIS IS A REVISED REVIEW (from 1 star to 5 stars)The adapter I received that I presumed dead was very likely not dead. I was connecting it to an external platter drive and using a 12V 1.5A external power adapter plugged into the Angelbird, assuming it would be sufficient. I was wrong. The datasheet for the drive I was connecting (8TB Seagate EXOS) specifies 2.6A power for spin up. Obviously 1.5A < 2.6A and explains why the adapter appeared to be dead. Problem solved by purchasing a 12V 3A power adapter with the necessary 1.35mm plug. Now the adapter works perfectly fine.Adapter performance is excellent and is confirmed to support UASP as advertised.

Doesn't come with power adapter
Useless for cd/blueray drives with a power adapter, that it doesn't come with.

Good, but...
Good but what power cable is supposed to used to support active power? No documentation shows how to purchase the power cables.

Compatibility Issues
It worked fine (read/write = 567/527 MB/s) when plugged into my TB4 hub. But when plugged directly into my laptop's TB4 port: r/w = 564/234. Also, when plugged into my USB Gen 2 (10Gb/s) hub: r/w = 562/29.It does have TRIM.
