ZiplocStorage Bags, Gallon, 38 ct (Pack of 3)

Guys:If you used these before, you already like the Ziploc product. Although these aren't the "freezer version", I still find these sturdy enough to hold up to heavy duty freezer use, and they prevent freezer/burn or freezer-taste as well as the heavier bags specifically designed for freezers.I use these primarily for two reasons:1. To store meat and seafood that I buy in bulk, separate, season and then store in the freezer until I'm ready to defrost and cook. The bags don't easily puncture (unless there is a sharp bone etc.) and I've never had a problem with leakage in the fridge as it's thawing. Also, because the lock holds really well, once the meat has thawed, you can really shake and press on the bag to ensure the marinade and seasonings are coating the entire contents.2. This bag is the perfect size to hold all my small personal travel items when I'm on a plane (deodorant, saline solution, medicines, razor etc.) in one bag and all my electronic accessories and attachments in another. They're easy to lay on top of the bags being scanned so security can easily see what's inside, and it's also easy to grab one bag that contains everything I need once I'm on the plane instead of searching through my entire carry-on.Pretty much this size and the quart size satisfy all my storage needs.

These bags are borderline miraculous. They work as advertised, and you can put stuff in them, and the zip top is a sturdy seal that keeps out air, and other air-like gasses or odors. I put all kinds of stuff in them, mostly food for freezer storage. When I pull the stuff out of the freezer, it's absolutely magical. The food is still there but has undergone some kind of transformation - it is generally harder than when it went in, and it gets darn cold, too, but after a little while the food is just as fresh as when I put it in there. Sometimes I'll forget about the food in the bag in the freezer, and months and months later I'll pull it out and it won't be any good, but I don't blame the bags for that. The bags are the hot ticket. Other stuff I've put in these bags, with great success, include old, fragile books, holiday cards, balloons (I have a lot of balloons), keys and wallet (at the beach - beach bags!), cabinet items like pasta and cookies (but not together), and I imagine there's more stuff out there that would find a wonderful home in these bags. Highly recommended for your gallon-size bag needs.

These are a good value, and I can't complain about that part. But they aren't anywhere near the quality of freezer bags.They've got the double zip at the top, which is all well and good. But, and this is the deal breaker for me, if you put anything wet in them you'll find a soggy refrigerator come tomorrow. Or a frozen puddle in your freezer if it isn't quick enough.It's a lesson I'll remember. I may not always need the extra protection the freezer bags provide, but better safe than sorry.

These things last forever. Bought in this bulk unit and found it quite nice to return to the storage pantry to find more without running to the store. We're a family of four and use them for crafting and leftovers and usually this shipment lasts us a few months.

Good product to use and save space in refrigerator and freezer for food, holds kids toys, crafts, pens, food and snacks stay fresh longer, pet food, make up, bottles, etc. Good to hold things you don't want to get wet or is wet. Good to hold items when going beach or travel. Good to hold potluck food or leftovers. The bag closure seals well. We had a bag filled tightly with unfrozen chili and somehow it fell off the table onto concrete floor, but it held closed and did not break or puncture! Amazing! We were lucky not to have a messy disaster!

I've been using these large Ziploc bags for several years outside the kitchen. When I have a workbench project, I find grouping the parts for the various subsystems in a bag keeps things better organized. And when I remove something from service, like a consumer router or wiring hub, they hold the unit, the power supply and the manual in a safe, dust-free, place until I locate the box for storage or resale.I consider these as utility bags, like having a utility knife or a tape measure. The heavier freezer bags last for years. The lighter bags are just fine for most uses, too.

What can I say? I love zippered plastic bags. I love Amazon Subscribe and Save. So, I love these on two counts! I have several different sizes of these set up on a staggered delivery schedule with Subscribe and Save, so I should never run out of them again, and am getting them way cheaper than I can get them here (not to mention that I can't even get some of the sizes locally).

To be fair, I can purchase these at Sam's for a cheaper price; however, because I'm not planning on returning to Sam's (or paying their stupid membership fee) because I'm having everything I possibly can delivered through Amazon's Subscribe & Save, I won't be going to Sam's to buy Ziploc bags. These bags are cheaper here through Subscribe & Save than Walmart and I suppose most grocery stores which is where I would purchase in the past because I never remembered to purchase at Sam's. Love Subscribe & Save! Do it today! Your feet will thank you for it!
