I bought 2 of these for the engineers at my company and we only use Windows 10. Hope this helps.

This burner is able to over burn DVD+R DL disc up to 8.7GB, which is Xbox DVD games disc capacity.

Q: Do I need a specific driver for this drive to work with Windows 10?

This drive does not need a special driver to work with Windows 10 or Windows 11. However, if you do experience any difficulty with the drive being detected, it could be due to the below factor: There are cases where the motherboard shares SATA ports. In that case the port the drive is connected to is shared with a M.2 port for the internal SSD use. If so, it is blocking the drive from being accessible by the computer, and the best option is to try plugging the drive into another port and see if that solves the problem. If it was connected correctly, the computer should recognize the drive and the computer will assign a drive letter affiliation, like “DVD-RW Drive (D):” or “BD-RE Drive (D):”. In addition, the drives themselves are not capable of playing or burning content on their own and require a software to initiate the functions. Perhaps the software being used is not compatible or needs to be upgraded.
