Fun
This has been a fun addition to my kids (5 and 8) playdoh collection. They have had a lot of fun using it and playing restaurant. It requires some assembly, but it's pretty easy and straight forward. The plastic feels thick and sturdy. I love that its smaller and stores easily as opposed to some bigger sets. The included dough is fine, my kids didn't seem to notice a difference between that and name brand, and of course it can be used interchangeably.

Smaller Than Expected
The playset is smaller than I expected and requires a little more dexterity. The set requires some assembly and stickering, but it was easy enough for my 5-year-old to do on his own. The dough colors are vibrant, but are not as soft or malleable, crumbles more and leaves little bits all over my table and floor. The color mixing is surprisingly fun, just knead 2-3 colors together and see how it goes. Both the toaster extruder and coffee extruder leave a thin layer of dough (we used a toothpick to get it all out so it's clean for the next use). There are a lot of little shapes on the sides of the set to shape the dough, but we had to use a toothpick to get it out of each mold. I don't know that we'll ever use the coffee takeout cup... Although it can be 3+, I think 5 is the better age for the size of the product.

Softee Dough Mr. Dough Dough’s Diner Play Set
The Softee Dough Mr. Dough Dough’s Diner Play set offers a fun, interactive way for young kids to explore imaginative food-making. The diner-themed setup is colorful and full of different components to keep kids engaged—like the coffee and toaster extruders, play utensils, microwave, and a variety of built-in food molds. The set includes five 2 oz tubs of Softee Dough in basic colors (red, yellow, blue, green, and white), which gives enough variety for kids to experiment with color mixing. The dough itself is soft and easy to mold, ideal for younger hands. The molded shapes (like pizza slices, cookies, burgers, and cupcakes) work well for creating pretend meals, and the included stickers let kids personalize the diner unit.Assembly is simple, and most of the pieces are easy to use and clean. The tools are lightweight and sized appropriately for toddlers and preschoolers. However, like most dough-based play sets, keeping the compound from drying out and managing the smaller parts may require a little adult supervision.Overall this is a solid play set for creative, pretend kitchen play. It encourages imagination and fine motor skill development, and the variety of pieces and shapes provides a lot to do. It’s best suited for ages 3 to 6 and makes a fun addition to any dough-loving kid’s toy collection.

Pass
The toy set is super tiny! My kids did have fun with it but quickly lost interest within a day. The quality is good as the plastic material is very thick and feels durable. The clay was the star of the set due to how soft they were. They really enjoyed the clay even looong after they grew bored of the toy itself.

Such a Fun Set!
This came just as pictured! It seems durable and a good value for the money. You get 5 colors of "playdoh" and some little accessories like a cup and a dough cutter. The dough cutter will come in handy for scraping it out of all the little molds lol. My son loves the Cra-Z-Art sets and this one I'm sure will be no exception! This set is so cute and looks like a lot of fun. I'm excited to gift this to him. :)

Meh … Step-Up from Kids’ Meal Toy
I purchased the “Softee Dough Mr. Dough Dough’s Diner Playset, Create Mini Diner Food Treats, Ages 3 and Up” to play with my grandkids, one is 4-y/o, the other 5-y/o, and I’m just not impressed. But for my budget, it was inexpensive, even though the value is not so great. The instructions are pictorial, and the apex roof is not reversible (unless you want to install it crooked) so, I placed the stickers on the wrong side of the apex, causing the Diner sign to be on the backside of the apex. No big deal, the kids don’t know the difference. The colors of the Diner’s awning are supposed to be teal—red—teal—red, etc. but, my set just has teal. The microwave is supposed to have red buttons & handle but, mine is straight white. I’m missing the little spoon, as well. The little molds are completely impractical because in order to smoosh the Softee Dough into the mold, the kids have to pick-up the entire Diner & lay it on its side, on the table … all the while, whatever was placed in the Diner’s oven & cabinet gets tossed about. The more I write, the more cheesy this Set becomes, to me … it’s a cute idea that was poorly executed.I’m not impressed and would not recommend this as a gift; buy some extruder molds and single cans of Doh, and you will have yourself a better deal and more creative fun. I’m giving this a 2-Star rating as a result of my observations and experience with this toy.
