and it's not bad as an oven glove too
Now, I didn't buy this for me, I'm a balding man in his 50's. I bought it for my wife, as she's always moaning about getting her fingers burnt when straightening her hair. She's tried it a couple of times now, and says that although she can feel a little heat through the glove, it's not enough to be even remotely uncomfortable.BTW - I sneaked a go with it in the kitchen removing something from the oven, and it's not bad as an oven glove too, so win/win

highly recommended
I bought these to use with a heated curling wand, the gloves are heatproof enough to allow me to hold the tip of the curling iron for longer when curling the hair but the individual fingers mean I can still move and style the hair with some freedom. They are not totally heatproof but will offer a much greater protection and give you more time to work with your hair.

Ok
Not sure what I was expecting, it's ok, but it is just like wearing a really thick glove, you can still feel the heat of the ghds through it, just it is just about tolerable now/ Be interesting if I am still using in 6 months time.

Work well.
The media could not be loaded. I have a styling wand for the first time and wanted some heat resistant gloves so prevent any burns. I chose these as I thought the silicone type spots would be an extra barrier. The black cotton gloves have a shocking pink band around the wrist so I chose to buy a shocking pink silicone heat mat/pouch to go with it assuming that the spots were the same colour. However, the spots are definitely red, not shocking pink like I had thought - they certainly don't look red in the product page photos. A small point but they don't match my heat mat now. They work well though.

Decent glove
Take precautions when handling tools over 200c as it's does protect your hands well enough

You still have to be cautious but it definitely provides a degree of protection from hot hair tools, very handy for using with chopstick wand.

Yep - it does what it says...
Works fine, either hand. No burns, no heat coming through. Just the job

Great glove and multi purpose
My missus uses this when straightening her hair and says it works very well.I also bought one and actually use when cutting pitta bread once it has been toasted - they get surprisingly hot! Works a treat and was a much cheaper alternative that a 'chefs heat glove'.
