Electric Kettle Stainless Steel

This is a cheap looking little pot but it is all stainless inside, no plastic, and does the job. I would have paid more for one that had some quality and style to the way it looked, but whenever they make something look better, they also have to change everything else. Keep it simple. All the B.S. with double walls so your children won't burn their fingers. How else will they learn safety if not by burning their fingers? --by pulling the thing down and scalding themselves? I love double walls with glasses, water bottles etc, but do not like them with my kettle. When you are running around your kitchen and suddenly think....did I even turn that thing on? (they are pretty quiet) you can just touch it for the answer.Several years ago I bought the only all-stainless-inside electric kettle I could find on the internet. The style was like my mother's percolator from long ago, which was ok with me. Most important, everything about it looked like better quality. Now there are lots of choices with all-stainless-inside kettles, but I failed to find any that seemed like quality, simple operation, style, so I just bought this cheap one.

So far so good - 2 days in. I had an electric kettle a few years ago and gave it away when I moved thinking it wasn't a big deal, I was downsizing, etc. but I really missed having one and they are more energy efficient than turning on the stove each time. So I am happily back and this one is easy and quick, not too big on the counter either in my smaller place. And it looks nice with the stainless steel. I miss the top flipping up with a handle button, but that is not a big deal. PS I am not sure what "cordless" means since it plugs in, but I knew that. UPDATE after one month - still so happy I got this product. Easy to fill up through spout and on/off on handle is quick to turn on.

Not impressed and a total waste of time and money. I am currently deployed and ordered this tea kettle to be able to enjoy the comfort of home by having a cup of tea to get my day started. I did the initial boil of water as the instructions state and everything was great. Went to boil another pot of water in order to enjoy a cup of tea and the water doesn't get hot or boil at all. I waited for fifteen minutes, unplugged and plugged into a different outlet and still the same results. Due to me being deployed into another country it was not worth the return or hassle given the price so I ended up throwing it away. Wouldn't buy another from this vendor again.

Worked great for two years but then refused to shut off. I have dismantled it and found a tiny bit of plastic inside the switch has melted away. Such a pity.It's pretty well made but this tiny bit spoils the whole thing for just a few cents.It would have been nice if the screws had also been stainless steel.I guess no chance of getting a new switch.I guess stuff is no longer made to last but as it's not expensive I'll give it three stars.

It isn't too expensive, visually appealing, and doesn't take too long with boiling. The one things that really bothers me is a small layer of something that's always floating at the top of the water once it's cooled down. I don't believe it's calcium because I've seen that and it looks different. I can't tell if it's something off the kettle or somehow dirt is getting in (it does have very large hols at the spout) but hopefully I can figure out how to get rid of it. Thus far I've tried thoroughly cleaning the kettle and it hasn't helped.Otherwise I've run it many times, and it works well, and automatically turns off every time once it's boiling. Light functions and is bright enough to tell that it's on. Just the "dirt" bothers me. Everything else works really well.

We bought this in June 2018, and only used this to heat water, but in six months it self destructed. It would not turn off AND it developed a leak that I am sure was a related problem. The first time it happened we were in another room. When we realized what it was doing it was too hot to even touch the handle. I think the entire structure of the thing was designed assuming it would only be on until it heated water to boiling, But when it failed to turn off, it was boiling temperature everywhere on it, posing a serious danger!

I am happy with this buy. I drink hot water every few hours and this kettle was pretty fast at heating. I filled half the kettle with water and if I remember it correctly it took less than a min to heat the chilling water to the pretty good temperature and the water remained hot for some time. I am going to use this very regularly on daily basis.

This is a good looking kettle. I both it for our loft. I love drinking tea, so I needed something not to big and this kettle is perfect. It also is very quiet and fits perfect in my little loft kitchen. The red reflection on the picture is from my t-shirt. It's not the kettle. ;-)
