HCILY Blackout Velvet Curtains Gray 63 Inch Thermal Insulated for Bedroom 2 Panels (W52'' x L63'', Grey)

I bought these curtains to match my blue suede couch. I had read reviews that they look purple when the sun shines in, so I was hesitant to buy them. I was also afraid the color would be more of a royal blue instead of a navy blue like my couch. I laid them on my couch so you can compare the colors. Interestingly, they match perfectly in one picture, but when I moved the angle of the camera a little bit, they look like the shade is off. However, the pillows that came with the couch even look a shade off in that picture, so it’s really just about angles and lighting. That said, you can’t always rely on the pictures people post. I took some pictures at different angles, some close-up and some further way, to show you the discrepancy in how the color can look different based on how the picture is taken. They match my couch beautifully, and they block out the sun well. They are incredibly soft and I can’t believe the value for the price! However, I don’t have direct sun shining in through that window and there is a lot of shade from a huge tree. I did see one tiny spot where the sun was shining directly in, and the curtains did have a purple color. So, with direct sunlight, they may look purple. For me, they worked out beautifully, and I couldn’t be happier!

The first thing I said when I opened the package is, wow! These are so soft! I got excited and immediately hung them. The window you see above is the neighbor to my bed. Its usually lined with super sheer white curtains, so I can still see the beautiful trees and enjoy the sunshine. It’s a beautiful window, but I did not realize how it was affecting my life.This is the morning after, with these beautiful curtains. For the first time in years I feel rested. I suffer from insomnia, so I am really appreciative of a good night of sleep.I actually only bought these curtains because in the wake of winter here in NC, my bedroom has been freezing as temps drop below 30. I was waking up with a sore throat, and needed something to hold in the draft. I didn’t expect 100% of a fix, but these did enough, and this wasn’t a major problem last night. There’s a slight big of cold poking through the sides, but overall, they did an amazing job. I will add, I hung these well into the night, the room was already cold at that point. No sore throat this morning! :)The curtains are heavy, but drape beautifully. I was disappointed they did not come with tiebacks, but I quickly realized they were not needed. I have two panels on each side of this large window. I was going for a specific look, I did not want the curtains to hang flat and have spaces. 4 panels of these and I keep my previous white panels drawn in the middle when I pull them close. These are the dark grey, which have a surprising beautiful blue hue to them. I couldn’t be more pleased with my purchase.

Velvet Navy Blue Curtains has been my dream for decades. I searched high & low for the right combination of quality, length, color & opaqueness. This brand exceeded every expectation I had! I suffer from Lupus, which leaves me with fatigue. I often need to sleep during the daytime; Im up most nights in pain. These curtains are amazing at blocking out the sunlight, mimicking the darkness of night during the suniest of days! The rich navy is consistent in color throughout. The velvet is quality. The material is nice and heavyweight. I definitely recommend these curtains! They add an elegant flair to any living space. If your on the fence, go ahead and buy these, you won't be disappointed! I loved doing business with this seller. My order came on time and I will come back to purchase a few more sets for other rooms. Best value for the money/price!

They are pretty and soft but not black out at all they are dark and keep it dark but not black out

I already had one set (blue colored) and wanted another to changeout for color scheme in bedroom. I like that they really do good job of blocking out the daylight and they are super easy to wash and dry. Not heavy material, hang really well.

I have a sliding door facing south in similar size of the curtain. From around 10 in the morning to 6 in the afternoon, when it was sunny outside, it was a disaster for me, since I need to work from home during these days. The sunshine was so bright that I can hardly see my screen. That was why I decided to buy this curtain.The curtain is in greate quality. It feels velvet and comfortable. And it fits my sliding door very well. I like its dark color, which creates me a perfect shade, and I don't need to worry about the sunshine when WFH!Great to buy. 5 star from me. Absolutely.

These curtains look beautiful in my bedroom. My bedroom sits directly above my garage so my room is very cold and it is difficult to test the thermal insulation. The hem is a little off but this is not very noticeable and the beauty of the curtains distract the eye from the bottom. I am so very glad I purchased them. The price was within my budget range which also distracts the eye from the bottom. I also forgot to mention I washed them before I hung them. They wash beautifully. At least I think they do. Perhaps your discerning eye will see differently but for my money you can't go wrong. If you decide on these curtains I hope you're as pleased as I am because I recommend them to you.

Curtains seen to be made well and they look great with the over-sized eyelets. I got these for a west-facing window and would have preferred a complete blackout curtain. Unfortunately, these are what I would call room darkening. Even with a mini-blind in the window, a good deal of light shines through with direct on sunlight (see pic). However, they look terrific, will help keep the room cooler and they are great at improving the room acoustics which is a plus.In the end, they are 3.5 stars and I chose to round down because of the claim to be blackout and they are not. As always, this review is of my own honest opinion and I was not compensated for my thoughts on this curtain.

I found the navy blue to be a little light in colour

These are not blackout. The colour is also not a true navy. They quality is also not great, very thin, but looks okay when up. Due to them being not the right colour I will be returning them.
