Take off the protective film
I almost had to write a 1 star because I couldn't figure out how to get the pot to boil.. but then I realized I was an idiot! I tried using this two different times on two different days before I realized that I hadn't even taken off the protective film on the mirrors. The center mirror had bubbles and it was pretty obvious there was a protective film. But watch out, even the side mirrors have a film, so make sure you take those off as well!Once I did that, I didn't have any problem at all getting the water to boil in my pot. The one thing I would suggest is to find a pot that doesn't have a shiny bottom. Black works best so that it absorbs all the heat. This thing is awesome!

Well Designed, Super Functional, Great Conversation Starter.
Think about this for a second, what you're purchasing here is a totally off the grid cooking solution that uses only the power of the sun (read no fuel of any kind) and gets as hot a gas grill in a fraction of the time. From what I can tell, my SolSource is pretty much going to last a lifetime as well.My wife and I car camp several weekends throughout the summer here in Colorado and the SolSource has become a standard addition to our camping kit. We use it most regularly for cooking breakfast at camp and it has the added benefit of being a fun conversation piece in the morning with the other people we're camping with. In short, I highly recommend this product.edit: look at the founding story for One Earth Designs, the folks who created the SolSource. It was originally developed at MIT as clean energy cooking solution to improve the health conditions for Tibetan Herders who used coal or kerosene cooking inside their Yurts. Super cool.

Use the Black Rubber to find the sunlight focal point
I love the product being lightweight, easy to carry. However, I had a very difficult time finding out how to aim the panels to get the maximum sunlight. The instruction booklet does not talk about using the black rubber as the tool to find the sunlight focal point. The advertisement has the black rubber in the photo as if it was affixed to the center of the rectangular shape panel. The black rubber is not part of the rectangular panel. I spent 5 hours searching YOUTUBE and websites to learn about how to use the black rubber. I called the customer service line. It was useless. It told me to leave my name and phone number, but no one called me back. The rectangular panel had a damaged spot and smear marks all over the rectangular panel when received.I returned the product at the end. If the instruction booklet listed the YOUTUBE video about using the black rubber, I would not get so frustrated. The video is helpful but not that helpful.

Love it
Wow! First of all, I just want to say this package arrived SUPER fast. The packaging is a bit daunting, but you'll be put to ease as all the components fit nicely inside the backpack! This solar cooker is super easy to lug around, even for a smaller individual. The instructions included with the SolSource Sport make for quick assembly, and believe it or not, disassembly, too! I immediately unboxed this bad boy and put it together, despite there being an overcast and below freezing conditions. I tried using my ceiling fan as a light source, but sadly it did not work. The next day we got sunlight and man am I impressed! The pan got to sizzling temperatures almost instantly and my food cooked and tasted great. Awesome Christmas present, and I've got to say: the Amazon seller was a complete delight to deal with when I had questions, something you don't find all the time! Thanks! I'll definitely be sending friends and family members your way!

A waste of time and money. Keep on shopping.
Cooking 5 strips of bacon in full sun for over an hour and they're still not done. Unacceptable! As much as I wanted this cooker to work, want and fact are two very different things. I got sucked in by those YouTube videos. And the sport you can disassemble and take it camping. How cool would that be. If that be the case, 1.) make sure you are solo so you can escape the painful jabs of everyone you are camping with when you face the fact you wasted your money. 2.) make sure you bring a back up plan to get food cooked.

Grill did not work
The solar grill is a great idea.Unfortunately you can not grill with the SolSource Sport Solar Cooker. The temperature of the pan reached in Vienna (Austria, Central Europe), in summer a maximum of 100 degrees Celsius. However, this temperature is not enough for grilling. We used a small cookware, but even with doll dishes, we could not bring water to boil. Larger vessels, such as pans or pots, get not even warm because the large cookware makes itself a shadow. The service support from SolSource - One Earth Designs answered us promptly and was very helpful with tips, but unfortunately these suggestions did not help us, that the temperature became higher. As I said, great idea, but I believe that the reflector surface is too small and the lateral mounting of the cookware takes away too much solar energy.I now buy a non-portable solar grill and with a larger diameter.

Great concept, Weak Materials
Bought this for my husband for Christmas. We had to try it the first sunny day. It was between 35-40F outside and we tried multiple pans. We couldn't get any pan up above 200F (that was with a cast iron). Overall we liked the product, until it came to take it apart. As we pulled the ring on the pin to take the panels off, the ring broke. We had to use a screwdriver to wedge between the panels to get them apart. The rubber stoppers between the panels didn't even connect like they were supposed to. So technically, it works. However, the materials used to build these are super weak. We ended up returning it because this probably would not last a single camping trip.
