I love how it automatically syncs with my phone and organizes recordings with timestamps—super helpful for reviewing key moments.The transcription feature is surprisingly accurate, even with background noise or multiple speakers. I use it mostly for church sermons and planning sessions, and it saves me hours every week. The app integration is smooth, and I appreciate that I can edit, label, and export transcripts easily.Battery life is great, and it's small enough to carry anywhere without being bulky. I’ve been using my Plaud Note mainly to keep track of my mom’s doctor appointments, and it’s been a huge help. It’s super easy to use—just upload the audio, and it gives you a clean, accurate transcript along with a summary that actually pulls out the important info like follow-ups and next steps. The sound quality is solid, and it handles less-than-perfect recordings better than I expected. On top of that, their customer support has been excellent—even almost a year after I bought it, they helped me out without any hassle. Really impressed overall, especially during a time when keeping things organized matters most

After using this on multiple meetings I feel confident enough to leave a review regarding it's functionalities, positives, and negatives.Positives:* To start off with it is super thin! This comes in handy for people, such as myself, that carries a lot into meetings. Not having the added weight or bulk is fantastic. The included black "pleather" magnetic case attached to my phone and is not easily removed. This makes it even easier to tote around all the time.* Activating the recorder is as simple as pressing a button for 2 seconds, same as ending the recording.* The integration into the Plaud app is wonderful. You are able to view battery life, setup your personal cloud, import audio from other sources for transcribing, and export or save your transcriptions.* Battery life has been fantastic so far. Haven't needed to charge it in the time I've had it.Negatives (not really bad, just things that could be worked on)* Transcription can take a while depending on the length of the meeting.* No AI recorder/transcriber will be 100%, but this one is close at about 95%. Certain dialects and/or speech impediments aren't transcribed properly, which is as expected. It does allow editing after transcription.* There are times when I find it necessary to remove the Plaud device from the magnetic case, and the way they have it designed makes it near impossible.* 300 transcription minutes a month is not nearly enough. I foresee needing to subscribe to the higher tier, which has me thinking if I would be better off using a cheap recorder and paying for a ChatGPT service for transcription. I would be able to use that for more things as well.All in all, this has been a fantastic addition to my arsenal of tools that help organize my life. For now I will stick with the Plaud unless I find a cheaper alternative or Plaud drops their prices a little bit.

I wanted to see if any devices could accurately transcribe these calls so I could review a transcript immediately afterward. After searching for a product that adequately suits my use case, I found PLAUD's device.I started reading about the product details and was initially impressed, so I purchased PLAUD's AI-enabled voice recorder. Here's what I learned after using the product:Pros:- The device holds an impressively long battery life- The design is sleek, modern, and pretty much goes unnoticed when mounted to the back of my phone- The output of both phone calls and lecture-like recordings/transcriptions exceeded expectations- The material of the device seems to be very durable, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend "testing" it- The software features are impressive, including templated analyses of each recording, an AI adaptive analysis of each recording, and mind maps for thought trackingCons:- To gain complete and frictionless usability from the product, I had to sign up for a monthly PRO subscription to avoid perceived limitations with recording memory and gain access to advanced features- If you use this device in the workplace to help distill action items from meetings, check your organization's policies for recording meetings. This can hinder your perceived usage and may not justify the purchase of this device- The AI model may require some testing and training. This might not be for you if this is outside your initial expectations for the product and you expect immediate results from its robust features- The magnet that adheres to your phone and mounts the device is permanent. It's not a huge problem, but be cautious of where you apply the magnet because you'll need to purchase another one if it's mounted directly to your phone and you get a new phone, and the same with a phone caseRecommendation:After using this product for a few months, I am delighted with its results, usability, and durability. I recommend this product to someone potentially in a classroom setting who seeks to revisit portions of a lecture later on. The AI-enabled output is impressive, but expect to take some time to work with the AI model to derive optimal output.Overall, this product is priced on the higher end, and if you are looking for the output as advertised, you'll likely need to purchase one of the tiered subscriptions.
