Solid, Well-Made, and Hopefully Never Needed
These Amazon Basics emergency tools feel incredibly sturdy and well-built right out of the box. The weight is reassuring without being bulky, and both the blade and hammer ends look up to the task should the worst ever happen.I bought this 2-pack to keep one in each car, and it’s great knowing we’re a bit more prepared in case of an emergency. Thankfully, I haven’t had to use them—and I sincerely hope I never do—but it’s comforting to know they’re there if needed.Excellent quality for the price and a smart bit of kit to have just in case.

Excellent value and works well
I bought these after seeing so many reports on the news about people being trapped in their cars after driving into water. I just wanted a way of breaking the glass if the electrics shorted out.Me and my partner now have one in each of out cars. £10 for 2 of these hammers is excellent value, but I was unsure about how effective they would be and how much force would be needed to break toughened glass. This morning, I have been clearing out the garage and came across our old 1/4 inch toughened plate glass splash-back from our old kitchen. This was too big to go in either of our bins and I had tried to break it with a 2lb lump hammer and couldn't put a scratch on it, so just stored it away for the next visit to the tip.Anyway, today I decided to test my emergency hammer.I placed it in a couple of bin liners and, suitably gloved and visored up, I gave it a tentative tap in the middle with the emergency hammer. I was amazed that It immediately shattered and I was able to just pour it into the glass bin.I didn't even use any force, so I'm very confident that it will handle a car window with no problems

What a Great product.
Have'nt needed to use this, however, what a great safety item to keep in your car. Very sturdy item and puts your mind at rest just having it handy in your car - just in case!

These will do the job
I have an older, unused life hammer (still kept in the car). Unfortunately the 'holder' for it to be fitted in the car is missing, somewhere. So I decided to buy another one, and found these two and will gift one to my step-daughter for it to be fitted to her car. I think these are an essential bit of kit, much like the seatbelts and glass in the car, saving lives.

Must have in the car
Why did you choose this product over others?:Everyone needs one of these. Have it close to hand in your car, just in case. It's a seat belt cutter and a window smasher. A must-have, and the quality is good

Must have
This glass breaker and seat belt cutter is a serious must have, it's a good size and a decent weight it's not light weight which fills me personally with confidence, I've tested both the glass breaker and the belt cutter and they work very well and very easy to use, they come with a clip so you can clip them onto your car for ease of Access, I've personally not attached mine to my car as we are buying a bigger van for our large family and will be attaching one to the front cab and one in the back, please test them so you know how to use them Incase of emergency, these will save your life if you ever need them

Great safety item
Sturdy, robust and looks the business! Thankfully, not had to use it - bought for our regular ferry trips (just in case!). Good to know we have something to help should we need it. We now have peace of mind…

Good weight to it and appears to do what it is intended for
The items felt sturdy and, having used the hammer on a piece of glass, can testify that it would very likely be enough to break a car window, if needed to. The item is small enough to fit in the door panel of my friends car, who it was bought for, so hopefully easy enough to reach, should the need arise.
