Very popular gift for Christmas
I gave these to all children on my list this Christmas. Everybody seemed to love it, even the adults. A neighbor asked me where to buy them because she wanted to buy some as gifts. Amazon is usually the lowest in price when I'm shopping online, but ABC was selling them for half what Amazon was asking. I bought six from them, but they are sold out now, so I had to get one from Amazon.

Fun way to save
Bought this for my son who needed a BIG boy piggie bank. I like that it will count the money for him. It even shows the value of each coin as it it being inserted into the bank before it shows you the total amount in the piggie bank. It seems to be able to hold a good amount, his is about 3/4 full and is at $75+.

Not what I ordered
I purchased an Amazing Money Jar to match the 3 other ones that I have for my grandchildren. The bank that came was close but, not what I ordered. It is very hard to push coins through and just doesn't match. I know that sounds very picky but, I wanted all of their banks to be the same and this was way off. Amazon took care of the problem for me after the company said that they no longer carried that particular bank even though they advertised it on Amazon.

"Accounted For"
I am quite well-pleased with this counting jar. (I had it in mind to give to my granddaughter, but she's too young yet.) But I'm thoroughly enjoying it! Besides the accurate sensing of the coin and accurate arithmetic, it keeps the coins all in one place and dust-free--no more scattered, fuzzy, cat-hair encusted gold doubloons for me! And it holds up to $[...]. I came to understand that the lid knows which denomination you're putting in the slot because of the sliding armature (or whatever the terms is); i.e., the coin can only push the arm the length of its diameter. That's about as technical as I can get. Enjoy!

it works terribly. When I put $
Unless this jar goes by Yen, it works terribly. When I put $.25 in the jar, it registers $.77 (even then it varies, but is never $.25). Same with pennies, nickels and dimes.. It'd be cool if it generated the other $.50ish, but alas, it does not and because of this, I have to rate this produce as a crap pile.
