Not bad
This shampoo worked well and smelled nice. I have tried a few different probiotic shampoos and the only reason I didn't give this a 5 was the packaging. It would be nice if it was more sustainable packaging and bottle.

Want to return product due to bad reaction
Do not like this product at all as I immediately had a bad reaction. Caused sore spots on my head and very bad dandruff. It is out of the return window as I used it too late for the first time and now I can’t use it or return it even though I’ve had a terrible reaction to it. Don’t recommend buying it at all. No way to contact seller either.

Not without
I purchased the shampoo due to it being Natural, Sulfate-Free, Safe for Color-Treated Hair with Probiotic Technology and containing organic and additive free ingredients. The 7 reviews also influenced purchasing. I used the shampoo a few times and left a review giving 4* as I found shampoo caused my hair to be a bit more dry (which would mean for me in respect of the shampoo, the need for a conditioner). I wasn't too keen on the smell either but that was of little significance. I looked forward to using this shampoo, wanting to move away from shampoos that contain concerning ingredients that could or did affect my sensitive scalp. In respect of my own experience and findings, I noticed this shampoo has a very extensive list of ingredients. Some I had not recognised or had understanding of. I decided to write to the sellers for a response to obtain some understanding of quite many of the shampoos ingredients. I received a reply that some of the ingredients are preservatives and these were necessary to keep out bacteria and maintain the quality of the product.Ongaro shampoo contains Sodium Lauroyl and Sodium Lauroyl Glycinate, Phenoxyethanol and Cocamidopropyl Betaine.I looked up information on the ingredients and According to online research information in regard of shampoos (and conditioners), 12 toxic ingredients to avoid in shampoo and conditioner:Sodium Lauryl Sulfate/Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLS). A surfactant found in many cleaning products. Also an insecticide. The sodium and ammonium laureate sulfates are known cancer-causing ingredients. Also causes liver damage, skin rashes, depression, diarrhea and eye damage.Fragrance (Synthetic perfumes) Fragrance of any kind isn’t good. It clogs the lymphatic system and induces major organ system toxicity. Also causes endocrine disruption.Cocamidopropyl Betaine. ...This foaming agent has been associated with skin and eye irritation and allergic contact dermatitis. Although the government regards it as safe, many people have negative reactions to it.Triclosan. ...With a moderate hazard rating, triclosan should be avoided at all costs. It can accumulate in our fat cells and keep our body in a state of toxicity. It causes irritation of the skin, eyes and lungs, and causes endocrine disruption and organ system toxicity.Polysorbates. ...Used to dissolve fragrance or other oil additives. Often found in conditioners. It leaves a residue on the skin and scalp, disrupts the skin’s natural pH and destroys the natural protective barrier of our skin and scalp. Polysorbate-80 is the worst of the bunch – but stay clear of all!Polyethylene Glycol (PEG) ...Often found in conditioners, PEG contains dangerous dioxin levels, often found as a by-product of the ethoxylation process in manufacturing. Dioxins have a direct link to cancer, and also cause organ system toxicity.Potassium Sorbate. ...Potassium sorbate is used as a preservative in hair-care products. It causes skin and organ system toxicity.Phenoxyethanol...Another preservative used in cosmetics and hair care products. Causes organ system toxicity, and is an irritant to the skin, eyes and lungs. The FDA even warned that phenoxyethanol can cause shut down of the central nervous system, vomiting and contact dermatitis.I replied to the seller in respect that their product contains Sodium Lauroyl and Sodium Lauroyl Glycinate, Phenoxyethanol and Cocamidopropyl Betaine. I am interested to know why the product isn't free from these three toxic ingredients, whether a minimum amount or not.

Leaves residue in hair after rinsing
Granted, I do have soft water, but I cannot rinse this out as easily as I'd like. All else seems to be fine.. I'll be re-gifting this to my man and seeing what he thinks.

Finally found the love of a lifetime....
As a nutritionist, I understand the value in probiotics not only taken internally but also how well our skin and scalp does externally with a good supply of the "good bugs"! So I was pleased to find this after researching probiotic shampoos. I was even more pleased when I tried it!1. The smell is relaxing, like lemons and vanilla.2. I could care less whether it foams up or not being a naturalist but this really did foam up very much and gave me that extra clean feeling.3. My hair has never been so silky, smooth (you know the type, "I just stepped out of the salon") since I was in grade school! And I have super long hair down to my rear end so for this to give me that "just left my stylist" feeling each time I use it, I'm sold.4. I tend to have a dry scalp too, and this shampoo seems to be helping with that too, although I haven't used it long enough to know for sure.I recommend probiotics to all my clients and now I'll be recommending a probiotic shampoo as well. Well done, Ongaro.

Not so great as recommended on tiktok
If u are here bc of tiktok it’s not a great product. It left some residue after a few washes. It smells nice not great. I also fact checked the ingredients and there is harmful ingredients here. I stopped using and switch to native. My hair and scalp feels better.

Don’t love the fragrance
My hair comes out great but the fragrance bothers me. I won’t buy it again due to the fragrance.

High Quality - No Sulfates
I really like this shampoo. No cheap sudsy sulfates so rinses out easily and leaves no residue. I haven't noticed that it helped my itchy scalp like other reviews mentioned but don't think that's one of it's claims. A bit pricey but I would still recommend it and will buy it again.
