Knives are dangerous - this is needlessly dangerous.
I generally like CIVIVI knives. They're good, sharp and well priced. This knife has a swappable handle. While having no instructions on how to swap the handles is something I'll give CIVIVI a pass on - it's two "screws" - NOT having the tool in the box to disassemble the handle is a pretty big miss. This isn't a regular hex key or screw. It's some wonky sized star key and you have to tap the "nuts" into the handle which, you know, could have had a hint somewhere in the box.The sheath is fine, the knife is sharp (for now) but the knife is very slim and I don't see this one as lasting very long. I can imagine more than a few sliced fingers with this knife, especially if the user decides to swap out the handle.I would not recommend this CIVIVI.

Great knife
The knife comes very sharp The only downside I’ve had with the knife maker is they don’t send tools for the knives, not the biggest problem however it would be nice.

Very nice but...
Very nice knife. I have hade the problem everyone else has been having. Screws are impossible to remove. Hopefully I never want to switch handles. Knife will have to be protected and put in a vise to remove the handle screws. Not looking forward to having to do it that way.

Handle issues
I bought this blade for the purpose of the interchangeable ringed handle. That purpose is gone because the screws are tiny H-6 hex screws and arent budging at all. Now they’re stripped and now I am unable to use the handle I bought this knife for. Expected better from CIVIVI

The impossible has been accomplished
I had bought the knife to use the scale with the finger ring. Like all the other reviews I also found the screws were very tight and was just destroying even high quality t6 torx bits. I had initially given up and set the knife aside for a while. Then one day determination struck me and I decided to try heating the screws with a micro torch. I knew this may damage the regular scales that come installed on it but I was not planning on using them anyway. After a few seconds of heat the screws came out fairly easily. The original scales did get a little burnt but did not deform, light on fire or start melting and could still be used if you didn’t mind a little cosmetic damage. I’d definitely call it a win just a bit annoying that’s what I had to resort to in order to swap the scales.

Scales not removable.
Impossible to change grips. I ruined two T6 Torx drivers and was only able to get one screw off. You also need two Torx drivers to remove the scales. Otherwise, I like the knife, good quality, thin, flat, would make a good small game/fish knife, especially if you could use the ring scales. Unfortunately, I had to return mine as I could not get the scales off.

Super sharp
This is a very durable knife and the blade came sharp enough to easily slice paper. The case seems very durable and hold right to my pocket.

Scales unremovable
Bought the varius because of the ring handle grip. Tried unscrewing the original scales and twisted 2 T6 torx bits trying to change out the handle scales. Went to home depot, got Hardened T6 bits.... And it bent/twisted those too. Idk what the hardware is made out of but its tough. The screws never stripped but they also never gave/loosened. If you plan on using the varius with the ring grip, then brace yourself for frustration.
