Raspberry Pi 5 8GB

I’ve used a few s.b.c’s (single board computers) in my time. And I’ve never had issue with the PI’s. This Raspberry pie was no exception. It’s being used as a kiosk mode display to display job status’ and works great. One thing that really comes through when getting into s.b.c’s is community support. There are less expensive competitors but the wealth of pre-written libraries, projects, documentation, and code/pinout examples really matter. The hardware is great, but it’s the aftermarket products and community that make it a no-brainer. Lots of cases, hats, and libraries to play with.

Loving this thing! I bought it, along with 2 rtl-sdr (Software Defined Radios) to replace a police scanner. This so greatly exceeds my expectations! I was able to attach to a 4K screen with a simple HDMI adapter, and this works just great. I'm barely scratching the surface of what it can do, but I am very impressed!

I have several of these things now. Two of them I use as computers and I have three of them mounted in my Waveshare UGV robots. I really like the Pi a lot, especially learning more and more about what they can really do. I plan on recommending that these be used at my job in place of regular desktops.

This thing is awesome! I’m getting double the performance over the Pi 4. Great to use as a development and build platform for my Pi projects.

The best Pi to date.

It's the latest iteration of the pi we love. The pro's 2 hdmi ports. The cons, they are the mini ports, so you need adapters, or get a case that has a board to convert to full size.Oh, and its expensive. I know that everything has gone up in price, and it's more advance. It just seems they've gone a long way from the cheap in expensive rpi that you could get for $25 and moved into a new world of forget the price, we can charge what we want for the product.
