I had trouble with the operation of the door lock after install and Eunice went out of her way to help me on several occasions to assist me. She was not happy until she was sure the lock was working properly and she help me through all the trouble shooting.

Had a little issue setting up. Had to move it pretty close, but it works great. They also followed up with me a lot to make sure I got it working and they extended warranty for free without me even asking. Solid lock once you get it set up.

At the time of review this item retails for $125.99 USD for a smart lock.This is compatible with Amazon Alexa and/or Google home through the well known Tuya/Smart life app.Does the cost provide the value it proposes ?Pros- The handles are SOLID metal. Seriously, they are heavy and have an incredible finish- The electric pieces and the door lock itself are well built and provide an assurance of durability and quality- Takes 4 Batteries and in roughly one week of use I have lost nearly 20% with about 4 uses a day to lock and unlock and of course, maintain it connected to a Bluetooth gateway. I would assum based on this that it will last between one to to two months- Has an insane amount of possibilities to open the door: mechanical key (they include 3), fingerprint (easy to setup and never fails), a 6 to 8 digit code, an RFID keychain (tap on the door) and finally, the app/assitance.- I do like that to LOCK the door, the voice assistant respond immediately but when opening, for security, it asks you for a PIN (which you setup). Of course, you would have to speak it out loud so bear that in mindCons- Gateway reach is limited. Because it uses low energy Bluetooth and 2.4Ghz if you are too far or need to be penetrate walls to reach the door lock, you may have a hard time keeping it connected. Luckily I have a power outlet right by the door- They put a ton of emphasis on working the App, and I can see why, if you are not a technical person it can be intimidating, however, that mean there is little instruction on the hardware installation itself. Since I am used to installing door locks it wasnt hard to figure it out but they could do a better job- While I love the insane amount of options to open, it would be a better value if they dropped the price, kept the essentials and wifi - IMO.- Lack of MATTER support (the new open standard) means it doesn't work with apple home, you would need to use the app.Overall I love how sturdy it is, but the value proposition is slightly off here, AKA, the price is a tad too high. I am happy with it, but unless you are an android devotee you may be better off with other options.

The lock was super easy to install. Configuration was simple using the SmartLife app and integration with Alexa and Google was painless. I love how many ways I can lock and unlock it, and the logs to show who used the lock, when and which method is great. I had some questions and Enice quickly helped me solve every issue I had. I'll definitely be buying Hornbill devices again.

Doesn’t work , looks like the device doesn’t have enough force to lock and unlock

Hardware is nice, sturdy and good looking. Had no issues installing the hardware and the instructions were pretty complete. Then it came to clean up the application to operate the system. The company that sells this does not provide any help at all except for online help files. They have no one to speak to for any kind of help or issue. If I known that before I bought it I would not have. We have constant problems with their recognizing the fingerprints. Always comes back with a wrong finger error. Had to send a couple units back because the Gateway was faulty. Once I got the app system working for the first lock it seemed okay. However adding additional people to the system became a real pain. Adding people is not straightforward and I was in information technology for 30 plus years. My biggest complaint is here so no after sales service. So you better make sure that it's working for you within that first 30 days.

This is a great door lock. It arrived very well packaged and undamaged. The lock feels nice and substantial and the finish is very attractive. I have installed several of these types of locks and this one installed without any issue, the way the mounting plate attaches inside was a little different but in a good way. There are so many ways to unlock this lock, I love the flexibility. The big thing that sets this lock apart is that it includes the gateway, most locks make you purchase it separately so this is a big plus. The app setup made this whole process much easier. The fingerprint reader has been working reliably and is very responsive.Great choice and value with this lock.

I love this lock set because I do not have to second guess myself after getting nice and comfy in bed. I can easily ask my Alexa if the door is locked.

I don’t like to carry with me my home key – I am keeping it hidden in the car, for emergencies only.So now, with this smart lock, it is so easy and cool to unlock/lock the door, plus – I don’t have to ring every time I want to get in!I recommend this model without any hesitation: there’s so many possibilities to use it (fingerprints, code, phone app, Google Home – which I have, fobs, key), it is a very user-friendly and intuitive device, and (important) the fingerprints work every time.I am also very happy with this purchase, because my model version includes handles – very elegant and solid, fitting perfectly with the smart lock.
