Poor quality but work well with hue v2
Not brilliant quality. Work with hue ok. Official Philips has better light quality but cost forty quid so adds up if you need lots. These would be good value at half the price if bought in batches of 10 or so. Also have 6 of these and half buzz really loud from the transformer

Personally tested not one but four of this amazing downlights, it works seemlessly with the Hue bridge. It works well with both generation of the Hue Bridge but I personally tested with the second generation one. Since its compatible with the Hue Bridge, it also means that it can be connected with the Amazon Echo and Google Home for voice command and color changing voice commands as well (Google Home) and it responds very quicklyIf you are seeking a lighting without worrying about having a Neutral wire, this is the one for you.

Does not work directly with Alexa, can be quite noisy.
The outer sheath over the cables to the lamp was delivered fractured. It does not dim or turn on and off when used directly with Alexa, seems you have to use a Philips Hue Bridge to get it to work properly. The driver power supply is quite noisy with various colours. For something that is claimed to work with Alexa, it is really not "ready for prime time" yet - needs more work on both the software and hardware....

Amazingly affordable and brilliant light
This is an excellent and extremely affordable alternative to Philips Hue, and I can confirm it is 100% compatible with both the Philips hue bridge and the Philips hue software.Please note that you will need a Philips hue bridge to control this light!Some of the colours aren't 100% accurate when choosing them in the app, but you can easily get the colours you want by swiping around a bit. Its a non-issue really considering the price tag.If you find my youtube channel (search for Paul Hibbert) you'll find a side by side comparison of this and my original Philips Hue lamp in a video called "Alexa controlled Smart light, compatible with Philips Hue". This thing outperforms the Philips hue lamp for brightness, and range of brightness and definitely outperforms it in cost effectiveness. If you want a good bang for buck smart light to add to your Philips hue collection then this is it!This is a strong and sturdy product that is well worth the amazing price tag.Thanks,-P
