Got too hot for me. Put one inch Styrofoam under it to insulate it from the floor and it melted the foam. It was not semi-melted but completely melted under the mat. I was able to scrape the plastic off of the mat and floor but be advised...mine got way too hot.

Works for hot growing orchids in the cold winter months

Mat keeps seeds warm and eager to sprout. After sprouting, the seeds in small cowpots grow like crazy. When the plants are a few inches tall, the cowpots can just be planted in large pots or in the earth. The mat takes the chill out of night times and warms the seedlings without roasting them. Recommend it highly.

Item not described. Some off brand, generic, no MET or any safety certification of any time. Not taking the risk of burning my house down with this one. Return.

I bought this to help overwinter some tropical plants as well as to root new plants as well and it’s working fantastic so far. I love the 20”x20” size as it provides lots of room for a couple #2 size pots and a few small cups and bags for the plants I’m trying to root. Heat distribution seems to be pretty uniform throughout the mat as well.

I love these mats. They are so helpful with my fermenting foods and drinks. Make sure you get the thermostat too. It is great to be able to set the temp and know it will do what I need it to do.

Not the first I buy, in fact it's the third. Does a good job helping spout seeds in a cold basement (in Minnesota) and doesn't use a lot of electricity.
