Work as expected
We have a chlorine disinfection system at work and usually use a more accurate electronic meter, but for speed, we often run a first round of tests using strips. These Waterworks High Range strips work exactly as expected, are easy to use and read and are pretty much what we expect to pay.

Does what it says on the tin
These testing strips are great, they do exactly what they promise. The instructions are really easy to follow. I bought them as I was concerned about the levels of chlorine in our tap water. I did the test with the water straight out of the tap, and then with some water I'd filtered and the strips showed exactly the results I was expecting. A great buy!

Good Buy
Having had a new water filter installed with a timer at the end of the time period the water was still good and tasted of chlorine. These strips allowed us to test the level of chlorine when we began to taste it and change at that point getting an extra 2 months out of each expensive filter.

Disappointed
I had high expectations for these based on the 6 reviews prior to mine. Firstly, the instructions in the description of the item differs vastly from the instructions that came with the strips. I apparently need to know the exact temperature of the water being tested which in turn determines how long the strip should be left in the water, then they have to be moved back and forth in the water with movements between 1 and 2 inches about 2 strokes per second. I know for a fact the tap water has chlorine in it - I can smell and taste it but so far after 5 attempts with guessing how long to leave the strip in the water there appears to be absolutely no trace of chlorine in the water at all! Either I have been sent a faulty set of strips or I am doing something drastically wrong! If I discover I am doing it wrong I will of course update this review accordingly. Maybe if the seller reads this they can contact me with advice.Update: Another day has passed and I've experimented again and again but I find the same result every time. According to these strips (about a dozen or so now) there is absolutely no trace of chlorine in my tap water, even though myself Iand my wife can taste ans smell it. My wife in particular has a "nose" for chlorine in water and recently I did a blind test on her. I lined up three glasses of water, 1 straight from the tap, 1 with Volvic bottled water and 1 with water filtered from a Bobble bottle recently purchased through Amazon. She sipped the first and spat it out immediately - that was the tap water. Both the Volvic and the Bobble water were ok for her. While this doesn't prove there is chlorine in the tap water it is common practice for the water authorities to add it in order to help keep it free from harmful bacteria. So why these strips do not seem to work is a mystery to me.

They do exactly what they say
The reaction is very obvious when they detect Chlorine. Used for checking leaking water near a wall to rule out house supply. Proved it was ground water.
