I bought this waterproof case for my new GoPro 10, even though the 10 is already waterproof, as an extra layer of protection while driving with the camera mounted on the exterior of a vehicle.The camera was never able to record more than 9 minutes of video before it shut itself down due to overheating. The outdoor temperature was in the mid 80s at dusk, so no harsh direct sunlight. Of course, every time it shut down was right before the money shot.Next time I use the camera on the outside of a vehicle I will NOT be using the waterproof door. I just tested it with the skeleton backdoor and it made it almost 21 minutes before shutting down due to overheating. The camera was very hot.Next, I will test the camera without the waterproof case but with a full battery and blank SD card to see how long it can go without overheating.I have no need for submersing my camera so I am not going to be doing that test. I lost a supposedly waterproof watch to a swimming pool once, so I will never take that chance again. I would still be nice to know how long the camera can record in the waterproof case under water before it overheats.

I bought this case to use on my GoPro 11 when I take videos of my grandkids. They love to watch the videos and see themselves underwater in the swimming pool. I was able to capture footage with ease underwater. Great protection and keeps the GoPro dry.

I bought this thinking that it was just a hard cover for my GoPro. I needed one with a door that I can access the charging port without having to open the battery flat. When I got it, I realized it was a underwater case so I returned it. But it looked like a sturdy little Prada.

However, recording 4K/30P in direct Florida sunlight will cause your camera to get hot hot hot, so keep that in mind. I carry mine on a strap mount on my EDC backpack. Totally worth the $40 to keep my $400 camera in one piece. 5/5 recommend.

Original GoPro housing arrived quickly and packaged well. Haven’t tried it yet underwater but looks good and fits Hero 10.

I don’t always splash out on GoPro branded accessories, but this is worth the money if you use your GoPro for scuba diving like I do. The new locking clip is a big improvement on the old style housing and the case feels solid and well made. No point in putting your pricey camera in a cheap housing only to have it leak at 30m
