YI home camera (Black)

Two cameras , easy to install and set up. I recommend buying the memory card for each one . Great picture quality on cameras and small unit so very discreet. Can turn the power light off so they don’t attract attention too . Highly recommend

Nice piece of kit. Set up was fairly straightforward, taking about 15 mins in total. I followed the instructions and did network connecting with the camera plugged in only a few meters away from my router (BT home hub 5). When all complete, I then unplugged the camera and moved it to its final location (three rooms away through solid walls) and switched it back on. Wifi signal was obviously not as strong, but camera reconnected to the hub just fine. To give you an idea, I had previously run the (free) SpeedTest app on my Android tablet in this room and got 17 Mbps download and 9 Mbps upload. Close to the router it was 26 and 10, respectively. Picture quality is fine for what I want (not really a security application), even in low light levels, but pay the £20 extra for the 1080 model if you want super high resolution. It has a nice wide-angle lens too. The (android) "YI home" app works very well. There is obviously a slight jerkiness to the real-time video (and about a 1 second delay), but what do you expect from a low cost IP camera? I can't comment on the storage options as I haven't installed a microSD card (or subscribed to the Cloud storage) yet. Note that a microSD card is not included.

I have a couple of these cameras now and have been hanging on a for a few weeks to see how they run before leaving a review.Overall I am very satisfied with the cameras. Being 720hd, the picture quality is good but not amazing. I have two cameras set up looking out of front and rear windows of my house. I bought my first camera as I needed proof when couriers were not making deliveries after i received a few 'your parcel has been delivered' notices (looking directly at you Amazon). A second camera soon followed to keep an eye on my car in our communal car park. I didn't need crystal clear quality for these purposes.The motion detection is pretty handy. I get notifications when the camera picks up movement and it is pretty accurate. The recordings have been able to prove that I have had a naughty courier who hasn't been doing the job correctly at times!I use SD cards in my cameras rather than subscribing to the cloud services. I can access my recordings easily and managing the data is straight forward. Playback is a doddle!The audio is ok. I don't use my cameras for their audio so couldn't give a fair review of the quality.Night vision..... Pretty useless in practice. Luckily for me, my cameras point out at well lit areas so when it gets dark they are still pretty decent. You get a fairly good quality black and white image in these conditions.I found my first camera a bit of a pain to set up but my second one was fine. The instructions are really straight forward and the hardware and app walks you through setup well.The phone app is great. Lots of options available to personalise your setup and run multiple cameras. The desktop application is simple but very straight forward to use. I have a second computer monitor running to use as a CCTV screen where I can see both cameras running at the same time.For the low price I paid for my cameras, I would say they are excellent. If you need really high quality images, maybe look at alternatives but for a cheap and easy to setup system, I would highly recommend yi.

This was a great product, however they changed it so that now the app is unusable and full of adverts for unrelated products, and their subscription service. Avoid. The adverts make the app unusable.

We were looking for a cheap set of cameras to use as pet cams.These camera’s were pleasantly surprising in the quality and there sturdy design. Easy to configure and simple app.5 Stars - would defiantly recommend.

I’ve three of these now. Very easy to set up. The app walks you through it. It’s great wherever you’ve got a place you want to keep an eye on. I’ve got them pointed outside to keep Ann eye in my drive and also use them to keep an eye on my dogs inside the house when I’m out. Good sound quality and day and night vision.

Carina esteticamente, buona visione, app funzionante, peccato che nella confezione non c’è un trasotmatore/connettore italiano, non che sia grande problema chiunque oggi è in possesso di un alimentatore usb, però non è ben chiarito nella descrizione di legge unicamente for UK nulla piùPurtroppo debbo variare la recensione da un paio di giorni il microfono non funziona più.....
