DSLRKIT360° Swivel Panoramic Indexing Rotator+ 2 Way Rail Slider+ L Bracket Kit

Got this as I am always a little cynical about the reviews on Amazon and pano heads are a minefield...and potentially expensive if you make a mistake!So, this is not a £695+ Manfrotto pano head that'll make you tea, put your kids to bed, give you the best sex you've ever had and remember your birthday.BUT...it'll do the job it's made to do, especially if you're on a bit of a budget. I have a Canon 7D and bought this to do some astro. I'm not made of money so this seemed to be a good compromise.I read about the bending bracket and poor build quality...but that didn't seem to correspond with the photos. So I bought one.The results? My 7D sits perfectly upright with a Samyang 10mm lens on it (which is quite a heavy combo of over 1kg). The bracket doesn't whinge or moan or bend. I took one of the screw threads off as my lens wouldn't sit straight. That took me 1 minute. As noted in a previous review, the plastic washer is a waste of space and actually distorts the line of the bracket, so chuck it away and use a metal penny washer instead.The mount has a good solid feel to it and rotates in 15 or 20 degree increments, with a nice "click" that you can feel through your kit. Especially useful in the dark.True, the vertical angle numeration is hidden by the screw button, but to be honest, it isn't an issue. How many of us laboriously use these things anyway? I wouldn't stand a chance of reading them in the dark, without my glasses using a red beam flash!As for the rest of the kit, it's 50 quid well spent. Just buy it. Til you win the lottery. Or get a better job. Or get a full frame camera.I've attached some photos...to prove it isn't made of liquorice.The photos came out the wrong way round...gotta love Amazon! You get the idea....

This would possibly be ok for a very small digital camera, definitly NOT good enough to support a proper DSLR.Even when done up as tight as you can possibly try to do, it is still able to move very easily, the rubber bit that should secure it is cheap and very rubbery so it squashes too much and allows a lot of play in the camera position, you also cannot see to align the numbers too on the axis (the bit that remains loose), the numbers go behind the big screw so you can't see what you are aligning too, it is cheap and cheerful and does the job basically but not very well by a long shot.I would not of brought this if I had seen or used one to test. For a DSLR owner just avoid this one

Bought this hoping to get some good use out of it, had to use a vertical grip on my K1 to get enough height for the lens barrel to clear the slider. This pushed the weight up and thus caused flexing. With a lighter weight DSLR this is probably a good piece of kit. Have ordered a Pano Maxx 360 instead. Will update this review once it has been used.Don't be put off this panorama head, if you have a light weight kit it will perform perfectly.

This pan head does what it says on the tin and can produce perfect panoramas as long as you know what you are doing. It does not match the quality and sturdiness of a Manfrotto head, but you shouldn’t expect that at 1/7 the price. I’d say you get more than you pay for with this head.

Super value, it does the job and it's sturdy enough. If you don't do daft things like moving it from location to location with and expensive camera and lens still attached to it I don't think you will have a problem. In a way you are getting three accessories in one when you get this. For the money it's good.

It wouldn't hurt to include some instructions or even a web link. Thankfully some nice people have put up their images on some reviews so i will copy that and figure it out.

Good value for money. Only thing missing reference mark to confirm angle. Elements can be used individually so get macro focus rail(s) for free.

A good, really solid piece of kit. It looks and feels well made and functions exactly intended. Though it did not come with any assembly instructions it was easy to put together. If you need an L-bracket then I would highly recommend this one.
