Effective for polishing, but not very durable
I purchased these for general-purpose polishing of metals with a dremel. I have purchased smaller, more extensive cloth wheels in the past, but they are pricey and a bit wasteful, since the metal interface is useless after the cloth wears out. these are just 100% felt. They are dead easy to use - you load the screw-type post into the dremel, twist on the felt pad, and away you go. I was using a variety of polishing pastes with these, in addition to using them just to buff the surface for a final shine. They work relatively well for both purposes, making quick work of tarnished surfaces. However, they are also not very durable - I went through three pads polishing just one clock brass clock bezel - a brass ring about 1" in width and 10" in diameter. They tend to just fail, suddenly, flinging half the pad off into the room somewhere. I haven't had an issue where the threaded post scratches the surface after this happens, since it is often exposed, but there is a risk of this happening.Basically, you have to be a little more careful with these than you would be with standard cloth wheels. However, if you want something inexpensive you can use to clean up rough surfaces as an initial prep. there are plenty of pads and several posts included, so you can experiment relatively freely. For that purpose, anyway, I recommend these.

Works well for polishing with compounds
These are hard felt. The circular wheels have some give to them, but not a lot. The wheels are also thin enough that the threaded mandrel will poke through them when using the flat surface with pressure. The pointed bullet-shaped ones are the ones I was interested in - they aren't super absorbent, which can be a good or bad thing, depending on what you're using (rouges and hard compounds work pretty good, Flitz is ok at low speeds, but doesn't work at high rpm's, etc.). You're buying ultra-cheap polishing buffs - adjust your expectations accordingly. That being said, I've used these to buff feed ramps and polish chambers. The bullet shaped ones are about 9-10mm in diameter, so they work well for my purposes. The wheels work pretty good when using the edges, I avoid using the flat sides, due to the tendency of the mandrel to poke through.

Wow, works great on old pipe stem
Polished up a 50 year old Dunhill pipe stem with severe oxidation and chatter. Used with a dab of Fitz polish (not the green eco friendly one, the original in the silver tube) and my power drill. Amazing results! Saved me from buying a full scale polishing wheel apparatus. I plan to try the same method on my foggy Jeep headlights next!

Dusty but Cheap
These are not as well made as the branded Dremel pads that I have purchased. They fling off material from the pad itself quite a bit making for dustier work. They clearly don't feel as tight, soft, and well made as the Dremel item. With that said, there are a bunch of them in a bag, along with an assortment of screw-in Dremel bits to hold the various sizes and shapes. They last fairly well and I will buy again.

Not good for polymer clay projects. Sheds too much
I wanted to use it for my polymer clay polishing. Skip it. All the hairs. Everywhere! Including but jot limited to, in your piece, on the table, floor, etc. the price is soo unbeatable that you get what you pay for but I don't think is worth the cleaning. The tip polishing ones are tooo rough and stiff even for my metal projects with silver. May be even for nickel silver. The metal tips to put the wheels are good though! And the round polishing are I guess okay for metals if you are willing to deal with all the hairs everywhere, including your face.

Didn't polish tempered glass very well. But did well on other things.
Wanted to polish tampered shower door. Didn't maybe I'm using wrong compound?

Come apart pretty easily when using
I like what these do, but the felt flies off pretty quickly when using them... I had some get in my eyes and just stopped using them. I have used others thry did not do this, disappointed in thr product.
