A must have to roof mount solar panels
After making mounting brackets myself I came across these that are affordable. I must say I very happy. Makes installing very easy and looks very professional. Can’t beat these

Value for money. Will need some additional parts if not mounting on a metal roof.
I would be hard pressed to find any thing close to being this complete of a kit for fifty smacks. This kit was paired with Ironridge Solar Flashfoot2 to mount on a asphalt shingle roof. With that added cost it still came out cheaper then buying everything individually two years ago.I was able to mount 2 x 200w panels on them with a few inches to spare. The clamping hardware is adjustable and a bit of a pain to use. It would be nice if the tolerances had been tightened to allow for a friction fit so the parts didn’t come apart before tightening. Having to go up and down a ladder to retrieve fallen parts isn’t fun. I would recommend some clear tape once you have them set for the height to hold them together for install. The rail is a bit on the small side for height making a roof penetration under the panels a tight fit when used with the alternative Flashfoot2 mounting system. If mounting with the supplied hardware on a metal roof I believe this would be less of an issue. The two part rail joint seemed to be wide enough to make it feel like one piece of extrusion. Also, two part rail requires you to have an extra set of grounding clamps (this only matters if you are working to code).Overall the quality and performance is as good as it gets in this price range.

40 panels on 40x60 metal roof
The rails were very easy to assemble, adjust, and install on the 5:12 pitch metal roof. It took us six hours to install 40 panels on a 40x60 metal roof with a crew of five. We did not use the screws that came with the kit.

Great value!
It's very hard to find a roof rack for a small (4 panel) DIY.I purchased two of these sets and joined them together to make 10' rails. It's a little tricky because I used L roof mount brackets in the middle clamping the two kits together. I also used some 3/4 aluminum stock to make joiners to connect the two kits that need to be put on the top rail (unlike the joiners for the two kit pieces that slide into the side. You just can't make the joiners too long or they can interfere with the solar panel end clamps.I cut pieces of cardboard the width of my panels and made sure it all worked on the ground first. All the hardware is mounted before it went on the roof.Using a total of 6 L mounting brackets with one in the center it's easy to measure the two outside L brackets for 24" on center rafters of my garage 48" from the center one. So you end up with a 10' rail with mounts 8' apart and a center mount at 4' centered between the other two mounts. The rails are on the roof ready but panels aren't mounted yet so I can't speak to longevity.I did purchase separate L brackets and mounting hardware. I'm using 6 Quickbolt 2 L brackets with 3" microflashing and the supplied 3" bolts. I didn't trust the rubber washer type feet of the kits L brackets.I'm very satisfied with these kits.

Everything you need to mount 2 panels
Most solar panel mounting hardware are notoriously expensive, so it's great to know that you can actually get it all done for under 60 bucks. All the mounting hardware is included, although the feet does not have any flashing, for mounting on something like asphalt shingle roof, so you will need to figure out a DIY solution (I have some aluminum gutters lying around) or go out and buy some proper solar single roof mount which cost $10 to $25 each, and you need 4. I was mounting on a shed, so I'm willing to take the risk with a DIY solution, but if it's your home's roof then it's probably a better idea to spend that extra money. Have fun!

Out panel flew off.
Had a solar panel fly off our bus. I would not trust for any curvature or movement.
