No distractions.

It was a bit unusual for me to buy this and so far it is running well. It works very well and is easy to use. It is used for live streaming church services. Purchased it to put in our conference room for a presentation. The results were great. The pictures are perfect. I definitely recommend this device. It is easy to use and requires very little setup when using a Windows laptop. There is no sign of interference. Audio and video are synchronized with no sign of delay. Make sure you use the on-screen display to set up the device. Not only is it reliable, but it is great value for money! Definitely recommend. I think this product is great! It's quite impressive. Overall, this is a great product!

Poor quality

The first set came in and within 2 weeks the transmitter stopped working. Replaced transmitter and the replacement went out 3 months later.

Gets the job done

The Mirabox transmitter unit sits beside my laptop and just under a 55" TV which I use as a monitor of the laptop display. The receiver unit is about 22 feet away and the line-of-sight is blocked by 2 walls (drywall) and one bookcase full of books. The Mirabox receiver and the 22" TV it's connected to, sit in front a Precor EFX 546 elliptical trainer. So, I can watch TV or any of a variety of video sources such as Youtube, Rumble, etc., or DVDs played from the laptop as I exercise.Since I wanted to control what appears on the 22" TV without having to go back and forth to the laptop and select what I wanted to view, I got this wireles mouse:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015NBTAOW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1The mouse has a claimed range of 49 feet (unobstructed) but it has no problem operating through the obstructions, as above.I see the mouse cursor on the 22" TV (of course) because the mouse's USB dongle in plugged into a USB port on the laptop. And, the laptop HDMI output is what's being transmitter to the Mirabox receiver. So, as I move the mouse around it is displayed on the 22" TV and I can click on anything displayed, such as video source, etc.All-in-all the Mirabox/mouse combination is a great solution for getting things to watch while I exercise.**Read the "pairing" instructions.** I suspect some people may be just putting the Mirabox transmitter and receiver where they ultimately want them to be, then turn the units on and wonder why the receiver's display isn't showing any output. You need to pair, and then place the units. One snag I ran into was that the laptop HDMI encoder (found in "playback devices" in Win7) was deselected (as seen from the 55" screen) during the initial setup--the sound was defaulting to the laptop speakers. This had no effect on the 22" TV, but when I wanted to watch the 55" the sound wasn't being played through its speakers. The solution was to open the laptop lid and right-click on the "speaker" icon (bottom right) to get to "playback devices" and make sure that "HDMI encoder" is selected as the playback device. Close the lid and the sound now comes out of the 55" TV speakers. No problems afterward, but be aware that if you need to re-pair it may need to be corrected again.

Updated: Up and running again!

Updated 8/3/2023: Was contacted by the vendor with updated pairing instructions. Finally uninstalled the unit to execute the task. Basically, the steps: 1) Everything is powered off - Power on Transmitter and Receiver. Wait 5-10 seconds. 2) Connect Transmitter and Receiver via HDMI cable for 5-10 seconds. You are now paired. You can now disconnect the device and put them in their homes. Note that I did this with the transmitter staying in the same location. Also, I happened to have a portable HDMI monitor so I plugged it into the HDMI Output port so I could see that it assigned an Infrastructure IP address.Once I did that, I plugged the transmitter back into the A/V receiver (the video source) and the portable monitor into the receivers output port. The image was syncing correctly. Once that was complete, I reinstalled the unit on an outdoor television. No idea why they became unpaired as they do not connect to my wi-fi network.Updated: Downgraded to 1 star. Initially worked out of the box - no longer connects at all. I have made attempts to contact support through their website and email, nothing but crickets. I will try for another day to get this to work - or it is going back. I love the functionality of what it is supposed to supply - so I will be looking for a similar item - and hopefully with better support.--- Original reviewI installed this to broadcast from my home theater setup to an outdoor TV. Our home theater has Zone 2 outputs so we have speakers installed outside which sound much better than the TV speakers. Watching the same sporting event inside and outside led to a delay of a few seconds (with the same streaming platforms)..This allows me to broadcast the main video signal from Zone 2 to the outside tv while pushing audio to the Zone 2 speakers.I can even drive my Amazon Fire TV cube from the patio with the remote now!Be careful, the antennas on the boxes are very fragile - the only reason this is not a 5 star review. Will eventually buy another receiver for and outdoor projection screen!Updated - After a month it just quit working. Will not pair up... have reset receiver and transmitter as well as power cycled them. Waiting on support to respond.

Falling apart after 5+ months

I use this on a weekly basis for hosting trivia. It makes things easy with being able to connect wirelessly to all of their TVs. It worked great until about 2 months in, the antennas broke at the screw plug. I replaced those. Now, the AC adaptors have gone bad. I'm now replacing those. All components are placed in the same box they came in every single time. For something that is being well taken care of, I'd expect it to at least last a year. Especially for the cost.
